No hot water. Evening and morning, shower was less than tepid.

I stayed here for two nights, my room was on the lower floor and there was a little noise from doors opening and closing. Bed was comfortable. I order room service and it was very quick, I had the tofu which was lovely.
Beautiful sea view from hotel restaurant. Walking distance from local Cafe.

The swimming pool oils be accessed from anyone (not only hotel users), resulting in gangs occupying it and not letting space for kids and real hotel users

Slightly over priced for the quality of the hotel, 1 star for service we showed up 30mins prior to check in time on a rainy day, was told room was ready but it would be an extra $30 never have I ever experienced this anywhere else, the lady came arcros quite rude but maybe she felt uncomfortable having to inforce this rule, other ladys I delt with were lovely but over all it ruined the experience

Leaane at the Front Office Reception ruined a perfectly normal and good stay at check-out.

After breakfast at 9: 30am, running abit behind went to the front desk with my 4 year okd son, to see what our check out time was. It was 10am, so requedted that since we have 3 rooms, could they please extend just 1 room by 1 hour for us.

Leanne face became very bright.and thought the normal response which is happy to help you which room yiu want extended.

However it was the opposite, she was getting a sick happiness out of delivering the bad news that she will charge me if i checked out late. I was surprised and told her that.having stayed all over the world didn't need an explaination how hotels work.told her that not only have i never heard that before in all the hotels i have stayed in.i have run hotels and realized i still own a few hotels. The money was not the issue.it was the sick attitude! I told her exolicitly i was going to fike a complaint and give a bad review of her.that is when she said she wikl check.

Refused to let her have a sick power trip over me and my family and told her we will leave at 10am. She called me when i got back to my room to generously offer me an hour.goto hell.wasn't giving her any satisfaction.

Was at reception at 10am. Refused to be assited by her, waited on the ither staff. Again she told me "she" was letting me stay.i didn't need to check out. I returned my key cards. Settled my breakfast bills and left.

We turned up 30 minutes early on a wet day. They said the room was ready Then told us we had to pay $30 for early check-in.

Great location and helpful staff, rooms are pricey and we would have loved a sea view room for one night but this isn't offered. Kyla in the restaurant is awesome! We will definitely be back for a buffet breakfast again.

TVS need an upgrade to 4k and bigger. Need more choice to watch. Not the best the Bay has got to offer.

Arrived to a damp smelling room, the place is very tired, outdated and scruffy inside and out. Took spare pillow out of wardrobe as pillows on bed flat and lacklustre, pillowcase on spare pillow had blood stains on it (picture attached) absolutely disgusting. TV remote faulty even though they supposedly fixed it "twice" spa bath had black bits shooting out of jets so didn't use bath. Living area had brown furniture, brown carpet, brown curtains not brown but cream walls which were filthy, scratched or marked. Iron had burnt black marks on it which we tried to clean and ironed a shirt sleeve which marked the sleeve (picture attached). Heat pump was so dusty that gave us scratchy throats and damp room has given us bad colds. We were there for 3 nights but left after 2 to come home, shower and get a good nights sleep in our clean, warm bed.we would definitely never ever stay there again and certainly wouldn't recommend.
Pictures on website are very old as nothing in the hotel looks like the pictures.even walking in reception area wasn't welcoming especially as we and another couple had to wait 15 minutes for receptionist to show up.very poor and would give it zero star but 1 star is for the view!

Beautiful water views from front units.
Dissappointed we had to request linen for our 2nd guest and, make the bed up.
Location opposite the Ferry Wharf and lovely waterfront restaurants was perfect.

Staff members were incredible: friendly, patient, professional, and very accomodating. Room size was good, with good bed. It would be even better if we can move the middle bedside table so that we can join the beds together so that our toddler can sleep in between us; but it's still a great bed and room. The bathroom is quite small, and I'm always worried that I might shatter the shower box door as it always knock on the wash basin everytime I open it. Room and bathroom amenities were great and well stock, and it was really easy to get extra or replacement towels despite no room service due to staff shortage. It'll be even better if the room have microwave to heat our leftover for breakfast. Plenty of parking spaces although it's on a first-come-first-choose basis.

We booked a standard room, a few upgrades to the room would be good i.e. TV, beds and covers are very outdated. Sky and wifi coverage was quite bad, game room could do with a nice kid friendly make over as that was outdated. Breakfast buffet was my favorite part. Room was affordable for a family of 2 adults and 3 kids.

Im sorry to say $39 for a steak with little pees and some onions n gravy is very disappointing.then asked for a side which is an xtra $12 for chips or salad which should have been in the $39.ive been here few times and everything is great except the steak dinner.cook needs to upgrade his skills in this area, its incredibly expensive.and doesnt taste that good.staff need to stop loud visitors making noise early in the morning

They are making false promises on their website about best rate promise. One could find better deals on online travel websites and their promises about price match is a total disaster. I had to cancel the booking two times and I don’t recommend this hotel

Spent 3 nights during Easter holiday this year. No room service provided. We had only 2 toilet papers in the bathroom for a family of 4. We went to the reception and asked for more toilet papers when we ran out of them. To our surprise receptionist gave us only 1 toilet roll. We are disappointed by the way hotel management treated us.

We recently stayed at the Kingsgate Hotel. It was wonderful, perfect location with a beautiful view and so close to the water and the main part of Paihia. The rooms are great and spacious with really comfortable beds. The staff are all very friendly and welcoming. The restaurant is excellent not only is the view stunning the food is fabulous, a must try you wont be disappointed.

Kingsgate paihia never disappoints. We have stayed here multiple times and it’s always been amazing. Jasmine is amazing and always tries to accomodates our requests. Their buffet breakfast is back and it has lots of variety for everyone. Totally recommend them. It is very central and walking distance to the township and eateries.

This was my first visit to Kingsgate Hotel Autolodge Paihia & we were not dissapointed.
We were greeted with a warm & friendly smile.
Rooms were big, beds were very comfortable.
Aircon units worked well. Enough TV channels to keep you busy.
Rooms have Kettle, Coffee, Tea, etc.
Wifi availabl in bedrooms.
Loads of parking for cars.
Around the corner from Countdown, Restaurants & shops.
