Excellent lunch, the fish and chips were beautiful, and the super friendly staff complimented the great food.

My family & I attended the Asian Fusion 5 course meal, matched with 5 wines and was blown away! The food was absolutely delicious and the wines were very well paired.

The staff were super friendly, we will definitely be back for the next one. Thank you Team Land & Sea.

Unfortunately the day we visited there was a cyclone warning in force so we were sad to miss out on the view! I've left the atmosphere rating out as i hope to update this review after visiting in sunshine. It was raining sideways and blowing a gale this time, but that didn't stop us enjoying the coffee and brunch.
I enjoyed the Caesar Salad (without anchovies!) And my partner was happy with his pork belly burger

I ordered the calamari on there menu its 18 dollars but they charged me 22 dollars saying they upped the prices.when i received it it was cold and you cant taste the squid all you taste is oily batter, such a small portion for 22 dollars, not impressed.

I liked Land & Sea Cafe. I had fish and chips and they were fantastic. Everyone else had crunchy chicken tacos and seemed to really enjoy them based on all the empty plates.

It’s sad to see a lot of the negative reviews here complaining about the smallest things.

Felt very unwelcome. It was a Saturday afternoon and there was more staff than there were patrons. We found our own seats and menus when we went to order at the bar we were told it was cabinet food and chips only. Disappointing but understandable as it was between lunch and dinner. When we ordered, the customer service was miserable he wasn’t listening to anything I said, I had to ask him to change something 3 times and as for the price $18 for a cabinet dry croissant, well that really was the icing on the cake (or not). The whole meal was expensive. The only thing I can say is the location is pretty.

2 items were not available from the brunch menu which just happened to be the 2 we wanted to order, what we ended up ordering was pretty average certainly sounded a lot nicer on the menu than the actual dish! They also completely missed a bowl of wedges but since no one bothered to check how we were going by the time we realised they weren't coming we'd finished the meal. It is a nice location but otherwise disappointing

Good choices on the menu catering for most appetites and tastes. A great breakfast and some nice wine choices.

I visited with a party of four for dinner.we were greeted by a very friendly face and taken to our booked table.each one of the party had a different dish. The steak was fabulous cooked to perfection. One of the part had fish and chips, very fresh and served with a delicious salad. The pork was crispy and very tasty. We all enjoyed our meal and have gone back a second time to experience the same friendly delicious meals.

Lovely place to eat and relax by the marina. Seating inside and outside while watching the boats move around the marina. There is both a menu and cafe food. Alcohol available

Extremely terrible, to start we were told not asked to take a seat, the waiter behind the counter looked scruffy as wearing what appeared to be a activewear hoodie, we should have taken this as a sign to leave.
My wife and I ordered battered fish and chips… first the smell coming from the kitchen did not indicate fresh fish nor did it excite us for what was to come. Our food arrived looking like someone’s son had taken to the batter with the garden hose leaving it soggy and not enjoyable. The fish seemed like it had been sitting at the bottom of Kelly Tarlton’s for too long and gained the ick. The chips were okay… a bit soggy they reminded me of KFC chips but for triple the price.

I don’t pretend to know how to run a restaurant but surely this is a master class on how to fail.

Such a missed opportunity for an awesome restaurant. Great position and captive customers. Where's the kaimoana? Seafood on the menu? Precooked/overcooked fish, and can't even start to describe the so called salt n pepper calamari. Processed blah. Sadly underwhelming food and operators who should not be in hospo. Enough floor staff that I shouldn't have to be a waiter and order at the counter. We have been dining here since the restaurant/cafe opened many years ago. Live local and continue to try to support the locals. But no more land & sea for us

Went there on a Saturday afternoon to sit down and get coffee and cake. The cafe didn't appear to be too full and the 3-4 FOH staff weren't overly busy. Both the iced coffee and the slice was great! However, the service from a couple of the staff was sub par. I had already finished my iced coffee and waited quite a while before having to ask for my slice, as they had forgotten. It appears the young girls were too interested in having a kōrero with one another and singing along to the music. With not being too busy, you would at least expect better service.

Waited 25 minutes for average coffee. And 40 minutes for a cooled scone. Sorry only young ones on board but no one to guide them. Need to sort this out or will lose a lot of customers

Great service by our young male waiter who managed our large group extremely well. Delish food.

We just love this cafe/restaurant. The meals etc are superb! I had french toast and my hubby had fish pie.both yummy and well presented. The staff are friendly and obliging.beautiful surroundings, our favourite place
