Very fresh and delicious food. Customer service was exceptional. Wait time was great, very fast. Kids really enjoyed the chicken katsu. Roast duck was amazing. Also highly recommend the wonton noodle soup. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Will definitely go back.

Some of the best eating in Whangarei. Burgers are delectable and at $15 so worth it. Everything is very reasonably priced and very swift service. Staff are super lovely. I recommend the katsu burger and the braised pork burger!

Varied menu with friendly pricing, staff are friendly and the place was clean.

We had a pork belly meal and bao buns. The bao buns were for our 8 year old who didn't want to share and gave them two vigorous thumbs up.
I've had the pork belly on rice before and it's a favourite. Tasty and a good portion size and crunchy pickled cabbage and carrot on the side.
We don't eat out much. But if you're looking for a filling meal with veg included, you can't go past Little Bamboo

Definitely worth trying the rainbow rolls! Popcorn shrimp with Japanese Mayo is delicious. The Malaysian chicken curry is 100% worth a try, the most tasty authentic thing you can get from here. Highly recommend giving almost anything on the menu a go and you won’t be disappointed. Superb pricing for decent food and sizing. Only thing I would change is adding more sauce to the boxed meals.

Had the spicy chicken burger and it was delicious! It was mild and zingy with great fresh veggies. The buns were soft and tasty and lightly charred. Highly recommend

Really impressed by the food here at little bamboo. All very fresh and so tasty. Not much of a wait time and able to call in advance to place order if at work. Really recommend the braised pork belly on rice (as a combo when extra hungry) or the Katsu Chicken with the option of 3 diffrent sauces, sooo yummy! Mmm and the dumplings! Gotta try the dumplings!

I've fallen in love with these meals. The bao buns are so soft and full of flavour. The rice meals are the perfect size and the meat portions are generous. The chicken is tender inside but crispy on the outside. Pork belly is also very tender. The My teenage son is opting for these meals over other fast food places which is great as the meals seem healthier than most. It's convenient being able to text my order through and they're always pleasant. I did notice the menu prices did go up a little in the past 6 months (ouch) but hopefully they stay the same for a decent chunk of time now. I would highly recommend:)

Great service! Cheapest Chinese/Asian cuisine in town without compromising on the food quality. Their pork belly, katsu, bao buns, takoyaki bla bla bla are amazing! Probably the cleanest takeaway i've ever been to. 5+ stars overall!

Little rice meal has good portion of meat off your choice, 2 healthy sides included layers fried eggs and fresh boiled vege make it nice balance meal. Will come back!

Had a takeaway from there today, the pork bao, pork dumplings, takoyaki, and the Malaysian curry, everything tasted amazing really fresh n flavourful, staff really friendly and it all came nicely packed in sustainable packaging I was really happy for what I got and the prices are really cheap and affordable. One set back however was the Malaysian curry (it was my fault for assuming it would be a nasi lemak) but was just a chicken curry with vegetables, still tasted amazing n I ate all of it.

Very disappointed with what we ordered. Looked NOTHING like the menu photos. Wontons were like store brought miniatures out of a box, vege fritters petite teaspoon sized and glazed pork belly was approximately 1/2 cup meat soaked in soya sauce, horrible veges and store brought roti. Hubby and I both threw them away. Will not recommend this place to anyone. And it took 20mins! Again, very disappointed and wasted money.
