Manaia Kindergarten

Manaia kindy is a bit of a magical place built on lots of patience, knowledge, understanding and love. Even through a pandemic with staff shortages the staff kept the children feeling secure. The children are happy there and are guided on a fun path of self discovery. Thank you!

My son had an amazing experience at Manaia. Such wonderful learning resources and quality time given by an amazing group of teachers. We had recently moved into the community not long before he turned 5 but there was no rush to send him along to school for a more thought out transition. Jakob joined in on the Nature Programme and loved the one day a week outdoor excursion learning about nature and conservation. The team were conscientious of all aspects of his well being including his social. With our little guys that can at times go unnoticed even by is mums but the team realised his little circle were headed to school and Jake was ready to go too! He still talks about his teachers At Manaia and when we drive past he shouts out “that’s my kindy! ”

Beautiful local kindergarten that has highly professional teachers who are caring and dedicated. The space is warm and creative for the children to learn through play. I was really impressed with the nature program they provide to the children before they go to school. One morning a week the 10 oldest children are taken out to the local beach and reserve – they learn about nature and even get to do predator control. Such an awesome kaupapa. Highly recommend to families in the area looking for an early childhood centre to enrol with.

Our son loved his time at Manaia Kindergarten! The teachers are excellent- caring and professional. The facilities are great and there are so many resources and activities to choose from. Not only did our son make a tight group of friends, I also met many wonderful people in the community, which was important to me as a new arrival.

At Manaia Kindy we experienced such amazing teachers who showed such a depth of aroha for the children. The experience for my daughter was incredible, the walks to the beach in wet weather gear on rainy days, the fire pit fridays, the creativity, the stories, the songs. Manaia kindy is magical. Our whole whanau loved our time there.

Love this kindy! The staff are incredible, the environment is beautiful. With my daughter going off to school very soon I almost want to have another baby just so we can stay apart of the wonderful Manaia Kindergarten!

Excellent kindergarten. The staff are exceptional. They are very creative and always trying to extend the children’s learning through play. A beautiful well thought out space as well.
