Very friendly and efficient staff I always enjoy my experience when shopping at the Whangarei branch of Mitre 10

Mitre10 has been better than Bunnings with click and collect. Within 24hrs you're able to collect. Easy pickup system. Communication better than others and when your order is not in stock they call and arrange alternatives. Their garden centre did not do well over lockdown so stock was low on plants. They provided what they could and refunded the rest within a week.

I enjoyed a delicious CAB (chicken, avocado and bacon) salad. Plenty of food, fast service and great price.
My adult daughter loved her huge steak, mushroom and haloumi cheese sandwich too. The salads in both meals were quite different with flavours that really worked well.
Definitely highly recommend both meals!

It's Mitre 10 for heavens sake. They are a national DIY big box store.
If you are a visitor from elsewhere think Lowe's smaller poorer cousin.
They are New Zealand owned and that's a good thing

Asked first shop worker for help. Was not helpful, they sent me to customer services desk, they were not helpful, sent me to appliances, finally got help. A little bit of a merry go round just to buy a freezer

Always a pleasure, staff are fantastic, helpful and know their product. I recommend mitre10 to anyone that asks and sometimes when they don't lol.

You can't say enough about the staff services and the products of top quality good deals for your money.

Would like to give 0.5 star less because a bit cramped at the exit/checkout area. Overall, good store. Staff I dealt with were helpful.

This rating would have been much higher if my experience in the garden section had been much better. Unfortunately the young Maori gentleman & his young female European counterpart (with tattoos on the backs of her knees), were far too involved in their personal conversation to be bothered assisting me. When asked if they had a specific plant, the guy said oh yeh they've just come in, there right here next to us & waved me off to them. When I asked if it was the cascading one he said I don't know I haven't looked yet & carried on with his conversation with the female who was even more disinterested. I had to get my glasses out & get down to ground level to read the label only to find out it wasn't the one. They were really unhelpful & unprofessional.

On the flip side, when I first arrived I asked an older gentleman a question & he was really helpful & suggested I go to 'Trades' to check with them, so I did. Simon, was FANTASTIC! He really went the extra mile. It's such a shame that this kind of professionalism isn't being practiced in the plant section.

This is a 5 Star review for PJ from power garden he is a LEGEND. I Came in late arvo on a Friday he was busy serving multiple people but was super fast he found me a replacement head for my line trimmer and fitted it for me, I told him it has never run properly and he took it outside for me and gave it a tune up now it’s running mint. Finding good customer service is hard these days the world needs more PJ’s.

A helpful, spacious warehouse. Neat and tidy. Lovely gift ideas and ample options for tradesmen. A nice place to shop.

Great experience and a very nice gentleman that served me buying a smoker and trying to sell me stuff to fill my trolley. A bit personal but if he was my age and single I would proudly have bought the store, he was nice to talk to.

BEWARE PEOPLE, was in the store today during Delta Level 2 no social distancing half the staff were not wearing adequate face coverings. And around the check out areas is so cluttered that keeping 2 meters distance is impossible. No Hand sanitizers at the check outs the lady who served me wiped her nose while I was being served disguising behavior and wondered why I got upset cause I wanted my receipt without the snot

I have always enjoyed going to Mitre Ten for lunch and to shop, however I was disgusted at the state of hygiene, or lack there of recently. The toilets were filthy, floors look they haven’t been cleaned for weeks. Do you have a cleaner? The store floors are also filthy, why, we need to be confident, given that we have Covid lurking around, that our major stores are kept clean. Myself and others are quite disgusted, I don’t even want to use those dirty toilets.

Great shopping. Appreciated not having to queue up in Level 2 of covid days. We initially were going to drop into the big B warehouse, but queues a mile long, so did a U turn and were able to get into Mitre10 without any covid fuss! Of course masks are mandatory, but that is part of our lifestyle from now on. Good on you Mitre10.

Great place to have a coffee morning. Lots of interesting things to look at from the garden Centre to hardware, outdoor furniture and barbeques to indoor fires. China cutlery and kitchen gadgets.
