Great food and service. Excellent main meal of fresh snapper. It is a well appointed restaurant, but it could be more intimate with screens to break the corridor shape of the restaurant.

Would we come back? YES. Service was excellent, not pushy but there when you needed her. Food was tasty, beautifully plated and more than enough. A lovely way to celebrate 51 years.

The menu, food itself and service is always fantastic. Great steak and fresh yummy salads. Fab kids menu too. No wonder Split restaurant has stood the test of time! 5 stars for sure.

Delicious food, huge menu friendly, clean, plenty of various seating alternatives.

The menu changes with the seasons, and I've never been disappointed. On the pricier side of things, but worth it. This is my first choice in Whangarei if I'm wanting something a little bit fancy

Excellent. Had our Work Christmas Party here last night & the food, service & atmosphere was fantastic. We had a set menu, with 3 choices of main. The meals were beautifully presented & filling. Great Vegan choices & definitely conquered my hunger & taste buds. All of us were impressed & the staff were ever so attentive & really friendly. Thank you Dan & Team. Happi

Took reminders to get me my drink. Caesar Salad was disappointing. Service staff seemed distracted. Not recommended for a birthday reservation.

Favorite go to restaurant when in Whangarie. Always great food, fabulous staff and pleasant atmosphere.

Loved this place! The service was fantastic and the food so delicious. It is a cute little restaurant that is very popular so pays to book unless you are happy to wait. Had the BBQ chicken salad entrée and it was a decent serve (wasn't that hungry so had it as our main).

Consistently excellent. Wine list compliments the foods beautifully & staff are attentive & friendly. Probably my favourite dining experience in Northland

Had my 65th birthday here lastnight with 18 of us. Split is my favourite restaurant and lastnight was even better. The food is excellently consistent. The service we recieved was out standing. Thankyou so much

Had the Lambs fry which was excellent. Wife had the Chicken Ceasar, also Top knotch. Highly recommended

Split bar and restaurant is hands down the best restaurant in Whangarei! Their lunch and dinner menu is fantastic, I’ve tried most of their dishes and can’t fault any of them! Excellent, friendly service!

If you want mussels, a must order dish comes with 1/2 kilo green lipped mussels cooked in Thai lime and coconut sauce. Very tasty and a good number of mussels to satisfy your appetite. Recommendable.
The seafood chowder is average compared to another restaurant yesterday.

My meal was very good but unfortunately my wife's was disappointing. But to Splits credit my wife gave them feedback they were disappointed as well and discounted our meal. We will go back and try something different from the menu.

Twice cooked Pork Belly. Rate the best Pork Belly in Whangārei (have tried many about the city). My friend had the Caesar salad with crispy bacon and salmon. She also asked for capers and dressing on the side. The restaurant catered to her request with not only capers, but they also served fried capers. So obliging, so friendly, Split is fantastic. Will be returning for seconds!
