The Cabbage Tree Cafe reviews
14We had breakfast today.creamy mushroom.it was super yumm.good service nice people.will go again
1st time kai was yum and staff friendly good place for our older generation it's really is nice
Service isnt very great. Went here alot with friends until we had bad service after bad service daily and it seems to take 30 mins after ordering to receive something takeway out of the cabinet. Cleanliness isnt very good.
Big breakfast was good and filling. My only issue, which wasn't really an issue, was the hash browns were over fried.but they were still good nonetheless.
The lady that served me asked how I wanted my eggs. Apparently she didn't know what "sunny-side-up" was. That made us laugh so couldn't fault her on that. She was super friendly too.
Thank you chef, for the filling meal & thank you staff for the good service. Definitely be back when I'm next in the area.
A nice range of standard food, pies, hot drinks came quickly but pies were microwaved due to warmer cabinet broken. It didn't do the pie any justice.
I was starvin like marvin, I munched the meal down, it was delicious, their coffee was a banger!
The food is awesome! Made from scratch. If I more thumbs I would put them up for this place. #homemadescones
Unfortunately just spent $5 on a dessert and it is very dry, burnt on the bottom, disappointing. Things have gone down hill a bit sadly.
Hadn’t been here for a few months, so was really excited about having one of my old favourites, the shrimp, avocado and pasta salad. Was very disappointed that half of the avocado in the salad was completely brown - not even a speck of green. These pieces were pulled out and put to the side as to me they were inedible, so were discarded. Approx half of the avocado in the salad was fine - but when you’re paying $8.50, I would’ve it to be a little more appetising. The prawns, pasta and dressing were really nice.
Loved their mince&eggs breakfast!
The best cafe weve visited during our northland vacation!
What great staff. Was in Having a bit to eat. Put my order in. Got my coffee. But they forgot my order. 20 min later. They brought me what I order and my money back. That was nice. I gave money back. Because they work hard and I did get my meal. I love this place. Thank you staff and owner.
Most-beloved by Whangarei's business community, the Cabbage Tree offers a large variety of delicious food and fantastic coffee which is served promptly. Always great service, great food, great cafe!
So many slightly different but wonderful choices to enjoy. Friendly service, short waiting times. If anything, the place is a little dark and it could work on a better quality of coffee. Always consistent. You pay for parking but plenty around normally. Short wonder from town pedestrian area.
Coffee was good but food definitely gone down hill. The "ham" and kumara pizza was bland and had one very small piece of a sliced ham on it. Tables were sticky and dirty, they were wiped with a very dirty rag while we watched. Hospitality training needed as food handling is not good. The floor was filthy, never used to be like this. Dissappointed
