The Deck Cafe

My friends and I had a nice and relax afternoon here. The staffs are friendly and the food is delicious.
It’s a pity that the weather wasn’t good, so we couldn’t sit outside and enjoy the wonderful view on the deck.
Definitely this is a solid reason to visit this cafe again

It's good that they put the cafe here. You can come here for breakfast, dinner, and enjoy drinks with beautiful views of the bay.
We have a good lunch here, the cafe is simple and lovely, everything is neat and clean.
Friendly and enthusiastic staff.
Inside combined with grocery store. It is not easy to maintain a business in a small village.

Wow! $17.99 for a jar of coffee! $7.50 for a loaf of bread. How you can charge those prices I have no idea how your still in business. We walked out. Couldn't justify your pricing. Rather a 30min trip back into Whangarei!

Super friendly staff, lovely view it over the water at dusk. Happy hour was on from 5 till 6.30 too.

Kumara fries were very good, but everything else overpriced and underdelivered. Paid $9 for a fruit 'smoothie' that was tiny and more like a thin vanilla milkshake. Couldn't taste any fruit in it. Sandwich was loaded at the front to make it look like it had more ingredients in it - had to reshuffle it when unpacked.

Stopped in at 10am ish early Dec on a Saturday. Had place virtually to ourselves, sun was shining, views were amazing, food and service was great. Imagine this place is booked out in summer.apparently do dinners as well

Went for lunch, and it was delicious. Had fish and salad, fish was so fresh.
Cant fault the food.however.each time i have been over last 2 years, the inside cleanliness is a bit of a let down. Window sills are always dirty as are windows. As they are right beside table its a bit hard to ignore, when you are trying to capture the gorgeous view. Wouldnt it be nice also for the furniture outside tidied up, maybe a nail hammered in, a bright colour added.all this would triple the invitation to delight in the beautiful tasting food.

The Burger was good but the chips were just okay.
We had a take away meal, the wait was 35minutes!
Need more staff obviously.

We were just exploring and found this cafe around 1: 10-ish so we decided to go in and see what the food was like. It was the best burger I have ever tasted -Cranberry chicken burger is a must have-. The service was extremely good and fast and the people working were also very nice, 10/10 cafe, it also has a great view.

A lovely stop. Beautiful views from the deck. Good food and coffee plus. Friendly staff with good service.

An outstanding chicken leek and mushroom pie -Jammed full of chunks of moist chicken and mushrooms with leeks keeping it all moist. Made at The Deck Cafe. Best- largest- pot of tea with additional hot water we’ve been served. We’ve had a few!

The food portions are very small for what is paid for a meal. The customer service is okey on the upside.

My partner and I ordered takeaway from here this afternoon, lovely staff and delicious food. It’s a must try!

Had a beautiful lunch at the Deck, McLeods Bay, buffalo wings, pizza and hamburgers. Fantastic service.

Coffee was nice. Big breakfast was big and surprised to have cheese in the sausage but it was surprisingly nice. Rosyi was nice and crispy and fresh avocado and perfect poached egg.

Very nice place to enjoy a delicious lunch. Just had fresh fish, chips and tasty salad but eaten outdoors overlooking McLeod Bay was special. Lots of delicious looking food in the cabinets and friendly staff.

Nice selection of food and drinks. Great views over the Whangarei Harbour, stunning in the sun. Both indoor and outdoor seating areas.

Lovely little Cafe. Only had fries and a drink but did see other food items being served. It all looked good. Plenty of smiling happy customers. Nice friendly staff.

The jewel in McLeod Bay. Went with a group of friends on route to Ocean Beach. Surprisingly nice foods (pizzas).
Good to have free wifi connection at where no phone coverage. Service could have been better, but no major concern for the nice food and view!

Excellent location and whilst they were short staffed on the morning we had breakfast, the coffee was great and the Eggs Bene delicious. Well worth the short wait.
