Three Furlongs Bar & Grill

3 Furs was an unexpected delight - we shared a couple of small plates (prawns and scallops and the generous serving of mussels) and the gnocchi. The food was great and bar staff lovely.

We sat out in the front courtyard which was warm and comfy with cool concreted shell tables. Would recommend for anyone staying in the area or travelling through.

Ordered Burger and chips also lamb shank. Burger was cold but the chips were hot and very nice, Burger not so much. Lamb shank was bloody awful so sad to say will never be back

We used to live in the area a few years ago and frequently came here. The food was great although over time the food and service started to decline so we decided not to go back again.

However, happily I heard through the grape vine that it is under new ownership and decided to give it another try.

We are happy to report that it is back to serving fantastic delicious food and the service is great. Highly recommend.

There was a group of us out for dinner. We all had different meals and it was very delicious. We all walked away very happy would definitely recommend going for a meal there again.

Exceptional kai, decent price for the generous quantity and very delicious. 10/10, highly recommend and would come back for sure. Quick service and friendly staff. Great kids playroom, located on the main road with large carpark. We ordered 3 entrees, cheesy garlic bread, chicken wings and scallops and prawns. Mains were pork belly, Asian beef salad and the ribs. Awesome family run business.

We went for dinner last nite, the food was really good, pity the guy taking the orders wasn't more onto it. He ended up coming to the table 3 times to confirm the food order and twice to confirm the drink order. Maybe he should have had a pen and paper to write it down in the first place.

Location and parking is great, right off the highway. Lots of parking available. If it is busy the service can be a bit slow but that is understandable, just be aware of ordering food quickly when you arrive. Overall really nice place, the food is great and the portions are huge!

Nice atmosphere, very helpful service from staff. Delicious entree. My pork meal was incomplete and the pork tasted old and was tuff. When I open tge meat up it was a grey colour and slimey. I would not eat it. Expected better.

Food was ok. Have heard quite a few people say good things about the three furlongs, although it was my first time there tonight & the staff were rather rude, bar staff were nice, it was the wait staff that were rude. Also took over an hour to get our orders taken but even then we had to let them know we were ready to order, we also got told that we shouldn’t get pizza to share because they didn’t have enough food as the next 2 days they are closed so they didn’t plan for it, even though I had pre booked a table for party of 20. Kids play room is really good though.

Called in on a Friday night. Just your typical New Zealand country pub. Everyone was having a fun night.

Our friends took us here for dinner. Loved it. Great food and prices are reasonable.

Wow. Best meal we've had in a long time! Big portions, crispy skin on the pork belly, huge chicken breast in the burger. Yum yum yum!

Friendly staff and patrons here. Felt very welcomed. Accommodation was adequate for one night. Breakfast also included.

Awesome entree mussels delicious.meals very tasty good portions very helpfull and friendly staff.

Found plastic in salad.told waitress.they just said.oh sorry.ill tell the chef.not good enough

Need vaccine pass to eat in bar oh well eat in my room best cooked steak ever. Nice place to stay and heaps of room out back for truck and trailers

Fantastic food. Huge pork belly serving. Crisp skin. Proper vegetables. Great price and service. Lived in Northland most of my life and wonder how I've never been to this bar.
