My friends and I called up twice to book a table for a Friday evening and the first call we left a message and asked for a return phone call and did not receive one. The second time we called and asked to book a table, the staff member said we could not book but we would be guaranteed a table inside so we arrived at around 6.30pm and got told that the restaurant is full. I have been to this restaurant before and I was aware that this restaurant is very busy and I thoroughly enjoyed it last time 2ish years ago hence why I knew to try book a table. Very disappointed with the customer service here.

Was told by the manager that I didn’t need to book to get a table no matter what the time when we called earlier in the day (2-3pm). Got there and the security was lovely and would make it worth the five star rating but the person we spoke to behind the bar, the manager told us unfortunately they were booked up. So it not only wasted our time but disappointed us with the fact that we called to book and was refused that but were told we could walk in! Piss you off!

Food was great and atmosphere was awesome. Music band was amazing. Amazing service. The chief showed so much passion we were amazed.

This is an overpriced, tourist trap. Of all the meals I have had in New Zealand, this was by far the most disappointing. The manager approached our table and attempted to push alcohol on us - seems like the only way to convince customers that the food is reasonably priced or edible. Ordered the Masala Fries and it was nothing more than tomato sauce with a sprinkle of masala seasoning on top of lack luster fries. Oysters came with dried out lemon and even drier bacon on it. The atmosphere wreaks of cheap alcohol and preying on tourists with low impulse control. If this restaurant was a person you'd think twice about leaving your drink unattended around them.

Popped in on a Saturday night. The place was really jumping.

We each had a Wagyu burger plus my meal companion has an entre of mix-of-6-different types of oysters.

Burgers were basically steak burgers with strips of steak & coleslaw W/bacon & cheese.

Burgers were good altho I can't say they were the greatest I've ever had. Apparently the oysters were similar.

As someone who doesn't eat seafood, there was a reasonable range of things to eat. Obviously a place with oyster in the name features oysters which was kinda lost on me.

All in all a reasonable experience. Although I felt it was a little too tourist trappy for my taste.

Good selection of cocktails and beverages. A mix of locals and visitors with a great atmosphere.

I wanted to like this place. It’s got a good vibe and the staff seem decent and friendly. However it was all a bit of a let down. From the table with wheels so they don’t stay put, to the mediocre cocktails (probably one of the worst takes on a Bloody Mary I’ve had), and dried up, poorly shucked oysters (which should be their signature (chunks of shell’s in every mouthful). Two tapas, 7 oysters, a side and 4 drinks came in at just under $200 ouch.

We used to have the burger with fries for $22, like the menu on the website says but last time we had just the burger for $27 without fries! Sorry, won't be back!

Sat down at a table that the chairs were to high for - very uncomfortable- staff was nice but I finished my meal before my families arrived AND not worth the money - a burger full of coleslaw for $27 and no chips with it!
Loaded fries (shoestrings) had a little bit of red onion and a sprinkling of tomato sauce on them -NOT good value for money this place at all!

New location, its nice to be just across the road from the beach.

However, bring all your cards. Geeze it's expensive.
Tapas in the mid to late twenties. Loaded fries for $12 have two different types of sauce and the smallest bit of red onion. Def not loaded cmon! Small plates.

Don't get me wrong it's yum and the service is good, but a small mortgage is needed. We never leave full, but always leave drunk as.

$12 beers, $16 whiskeys.
Roughly $20 cocktails. The espresso martini is yum.

If you've won lotto or trying to impress your tinder date. Its great.

If you want to eat and get full. Hea d elsewhere.

Really enjoyed the mixed oyster platter. Found those to be good value for money. Cocktails were really nice and the tapas were flavourful. Found the service to be pretty good and friendly. Only thing is, be prepared to pay $25 plus for tapas.

This establishment is trying so desperately hard to be professional but honestly they are fully like beer trying to be Champagne
Don't waste your money here, have a drink with the view and move on to the good eateries such as Charlotte's kitchen

We went there for oyster platter it was yumm. They also have good selection of cocktails/mocktails. They stay up late so you can just enjoy the live music and food.

What an awesome place! Love the pug dog as the mascot too. Also, the food and drinks were perfect for the evening of celebration!
