Waipu Central reviews
35Coffee was excellent. Had eggs benny, bacon was best I've had at a cafe. Service was first rate. Partner had smashed avo and gf toast. Toast was overdone so manager without hesitation offered refund or replace toast. Toast was replaced and partner said she enjoyed her meal. Service friendly and staff were keen for customers to have a great experience. Highly recomend it.
The beef burger was very dry. My wife enjoyed the chicken avocado burger. Not sure I will pay that much for a burger and fries again.
Tasty and well presented sausage rolls.
Great lattes. We chose to eat outside as we had our dog with us. Friendly service.
Highly recommended.
Was very busy when we went in between the storm, but we were warmly welcomed.
There were numerous gluten free options, including the beef burger.
This was one of the best beef burgers I've ever had. The pattie was a good size and smoked - a great flavour.
Kids had milkshakes, they were massive! Next time they can share.
Overall a great little gem in waipu.
Lovely experience here! As a vegan, there were only a couple of cabinet options so I asked if anything on the main menu could be "vegan-ified". The server very quickly checked with the kitchen and they put together a gorgeous meal for me without making me feel as though I was a hassle, and they checked in to make sure I was enjoying it
Crispy hash browns, sauteed mushrooms with onion, dairy-free spread with ciabatta toast, and a yummy avocado mix with red onion and tomato.
I was only charged $19, the same as a regular meal on the menu e.g standard eggs benny (additional note: my partner had the eggs and swears it was the best hollandaise he's ever had).
Nice coffee
Extremely expensive cabinet food.
Skinny ginger slice $8
Muffin $6
At last. Somewhere to sit and relax to enjoy lunch without loud rappish music blaring throughout the Cafe. Nice food and good service. Thank you.
What a fantastic Cafe. They are so accommodating. A very extensive menu and fully licensed.
So many options I couldn't decide - so I asked if they could do creamy mushrooms which wasn't on the menu and they just whipped it up.
Brilliant will definitely be back.
Small portions, pancakes were not really nice. Berry smoothies and vanilla milkshake was ok
Stopped by for some cabinet food and got a vege pie and thai chicken filo. Decent food at a reasonable price
Cool cafe in Waipu town with nice seating area and good food options. Went for the chicken and cranberry croissant which was quite good. Good coffee too.
I do love the previous name though more.
Delicious food, reasonably priced, hot coffee and friendly welcomong staff. Highly recommended.
Cabinet food is better than menu food unless your tastebuds are dead. Old Jane on tills don’t know what she’s doing and gives the worst hospitality. Meat comes out half frozen. If you enjoy eating a$$ this is how the food here tastes so recommend this one for ya.
We absolutely loved it here. Food was great, and came really quick. Hubby also had a scone, divine! Coffees good too. Will definitely come back to try other items on the menu!
The best mince and poached egg on toast! Yummy big afghans too! Absolutely delicious and highly recommend! Lovely coffee and friendly staff with quick service.
Perfect strong, hot coffee, delicious date scone (not too big with just the right amount of butter)
Now called Waipu Central. Went here based on the reviews. Maybe I struck it at a bad time? I did not enjoy my food at all. Had egg bene and the eggs were full of water so made everything soggy. Coffee was burnt. Decor is beautiful and staff are friendly enough.
Great lunch today.very yummy food & very friendly, helpful staff, especially accommodating to elderly customers. Definitely recommended.
Delicious food large cabinet selection aswel as a selection from the menu. The name has changed to Waipu Central. Great place to stop on your way north to.
Definitely wouldn't recommend. Staff are unsure about pricing and when food came out it was all floating on a pile of juice. Bread, hash brown and all other food completely spoiled and not edible.
