Rubbish service!
We were there for a dinner and we have a infant baby were crying by that time. We were trying very hard to make her calm down. However, one of a elder woman staff come over to me said: "you need go out". Then they opened the door straight away. Really? ! I know she was disturb others but we are also customers and pay for the meal. As a human being every one would be patient with a little baby. But in this restaurant they will just let you F**k off! It is a shame that they were very-and only nice and polite to their Korean customers. So, if you are not a Korean and want a restaurant with good foods and customer services, then this is definitely not a place to go with. Spend your money somewhere else. I am not the first one complaint about their service, from previous reviews by others, they also point out that they treated people in different ways by your nationality. It is a racist to be honest. By the way, their foods are not amazed either. So, don't waste your time and money there.

Please ignore all the bad review. They have changed owner and she is THE OG person who bring authentic taste of Korea to Qt 12 years ago when you know food is so comforting and full of warmth.
When it come to taste I think it's subjective but it's the best in my opinion.
Osam bulgogi is the bomb.

Unfriendly staff. I'm afraid to ask for more side dishes or just add some pepper. I understand that it is busy because there are many travel agency groups, but.it is hard to expect good service. The salmon in the photo costs $130 (New Zealand dollars).

Firstly, very little stuff! There is basically no meat. The bude stew hot pot only has sausages, instant noodles and tofu, as well as unknown and unbiteable cured meat. No wonder they have to give us a meal!
Secondly, the outside skin of the sausage is not peeled off, it is all cooked inside!
Third, it’s just such a small amount, which is equivalent to nothing, and it costs 64 dollars, which is extremely expensive!
This time it was really a surprise and I will definitely not come again in the future!

Before I came, I saw there were lots of food via website. When I arrived, the menu has shrunken.

Food sizes are too small and overcharged us so much. It never full up my stomach.
Staff are confused and unable to explain to the customers about the menu descriptions. They need to train their staff properly.

Disappointed, I actually wish for more of this restaurant. They should never lie to the public.

The food is pretty good except for the beef. Which is over cooked. The side dishes are pretty tasty too! 3 of us ordered 3 set meals.

Ordered Kimchi Jjigae with the price of $23, the portion is so small that none of us are full in the end of the day. To be fair the taste of kimchi jjigae is okay but the portion of “fatty pork” as mention in the menu description is unacceptable. Both me and my friend get three mini pieces of pork in our soup as shown in the photo. On top of that you can only refill the side dish once, or else $5 per refill after that. The portion of side dish is another joke. The restaurant owner is seriously stingy at his best.

Water was not served until requested for 2nd time.
Stirred fried pork served warm and watery. I expected it to be hot, not warm, with minimal water under the pork.
Only 3 side dishes came for $100 meals.
Rice bowl served with only 3/4 full.
Not worth the money.
The white serving lady was nice hence giving 2 stars.

I wish I could rate this a zero. Having lived in Korea for half a decade and eaten Korean food around the world, this is unfortunately the worst Korean food I have had. The samgyeopsal (삼겹살), bulgogi (불고기), etc.all had an off-smell and the banchan was shockingly bad. Most food was inauthentic at best, overpriced, and some even inedible. The server was unhelpful and not knowledgeable at all. Don’t base your perception of Korean food off this place. 정말 가지 마세요

The front girl was polite and friendly. The chef was even able to remake all their pre-made veges and remove sesame oil from them because my son is allergic to it. Portion could be better but what could you expect in Queenstown?

Bibimbap is ok but the portion is too small, kimchi stew only have 3 small pork mince & is only half of the bowl. But the most terrible dish is seolleongtang, it taste like water (no joke, thats is no flavor in it, even tho they ask us to add salt & pepper, but is just taste like a water with salt).

Fyi, Side dishes is non-refillable, refills are charge for 5nzd

If you're hungry, maybe you should go somewhere else

Eaten once here long time ago it was really good.
Last month we tried to dine there again, found out online they close at 9pm. 1st time called them at 8: 30pm they said kitchen is closed so don’t take order.
Next 6/7 calls never anyone pick up the phone.
Finally we managed to reserve a table. Half of the menu not available and covered by stickers, correction tapes, food was super small portion. The highlight of Korean food is the side dishes but they removed side dishes from the half that’s left on menu…We ordered 2 entree and 2 main but still hungry after. My partner Went to order more food at 8: 15pm, they said kitchen close at 8: 30 so don’t take our order anymore—only served a couple just walked in. Do you close at 9pm, 8: 40pm or 8: 15pm? Why can’t you let people know before they sit down?
My partner wants to use the bathroom and was told it’s staff only.
So we were hungry, needed to use toilet and left in a rush.
Worst dining experience. Covid hits everyone but you can update your info a lot better.

None of the specials were available and the bibimbap portion was too small for the price. Tteokboki was absolutely amazing though. Worth it just for this dish

Quiet little mom and pop style korean home cooking! Lovely food and very authentic flavours, highly recommend the Toppokki for a well balanced kick of spice and heat! The KFC (Korean fried Chicken) is particularly good if you're not game on the hot stuff!

Nice food and service. We love Korean food and this was the closest to our favorite Korean restaurant in Auckland. Good value for $$. Highly recommended.

Food was ok but have to agree with the other reviewers, it’s a bit overpriced for the serving size.

It’s a little small on portion but overall it’s great one in Queenstown (just don’t compare with Christchurch)
