Heritage Queenstown reviews
70Beautiful accommodation in Queenstown we had a lake view room every detail perfect. On arrival reception was excellent even going further as our checkin was delayed gave us a free drink voucher whilst we waited. Beds were super comfortable and lovely lo action overlooking the lake and mountains. We had room service dinner brought up quickly and nice. Missed the breakfast as too relaxing. Definitely recommend for a stay in Queenstown.
Amazing service and lovely staff. Felt really sad while returning the room key. Will go again just to be around the nice people
I stayed here 18 years ago and it was so amazing then and equally amazing this time around. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
Staff were amazing. Attentive, cheerful and helpful.
The bed was divine.
Our room had road noise though.
Food was delicious.
My first visit in 2018 was fantastic, so I decided to enjoy this dining option again with my family. It was a memorable event dining in such a natural environment overlooking snow covered mountains. Food was exceptional, service was fantastic. I congratulate the management for having s nice team. Chef’s is to be acknowledged for his job. Special mention of front office staff & duty supervisor Ahad who displayed exceptional Hospitality. I will say KEEP GOING.
Awesome service at the check-in. Very welcoming.
Huge thanks to Alexandra and her team at the restaurant. Bring positive image for their welcoming attitude.
What can I say about the restaurant, we had the burgers and the steak and it was not enjoyable at all. Burgers tasted like the cheapest microwave burger from the supermarket (only that it is 28$ here)
And the 50$ steak was served on American mustard, why?
Skip the restaurant and better go somewhere else, anywhere!
Completely terrible experience ongoing this hotel really should be closed asap it can’t currently operate with staff it has and blames everything on shortages so well close! We are staying here now and what we paid for is daily house keeping but new it is every 4 days if they feel like it we are still waiting! The room has a broken air con so the water has kept dripping onto electricity sockets and the carpet for 2 days now but they don’t seem care to fix it. The water is leaking to through to below residence they don’t seem to care either sorry to the people below! Duty manager won’t escalate problems to general manager, but delivers a bucket and a few towels to fix the problem ourselves! Who is the General Manager? Please help and get the problems fixed. This place is thoroughly awful an ongoing experience, the worst hotel in Queenstown. Don’t stay run way like we should have!
To far from town on a hill. No dinner available one night, hot tub only warm indoor part of pool was tu y and frigid. They weren't ready to reopen after covud
Still opening from the COVID, and not all amenities are available yet. But you can't beat the area attractions!
Adequate.
Stayed for 3 days after the new year, wouldn't want to stay too much longer in the room we were allocated, room was fine but no balcony and our view was of an overgrown bush.
There was no service in the room for the 3 days due to staff shortages but we are capable of making a bed so I can live with that although it wasn't reflected in the price.
They switched our WiFi off at 6.30am on the day we were leaving so I was unable to send emails.
We made use of the pool which is open until 11pm.
About a mile from town but the walk is quite enjoyable apart from the pull back up to the hotel.
Staying here as part of a conference I am sponsoring. Absolutely divine hotels with gorgeous views of Whakatipu wai-māori (lake Wakatipu) especially from the conference room. Staff were friendly and attentive and being able to hear speakers in the bathroom is a huge plus for those like me who are bladder challenged but don’t want to miss important sessions! Rooms are spacious and beautiful - reccomend the Forest View rooms if you like being immersed in nature. Would be great if the pool was heated for use in spring, and would be nice if the spa was a bit warmer, but all in all a top notch stay. Cherry blossoms this time of year are beautiful.
Shame that covid has decimated staff numbers. Only downer was no room servicing of beds etc. But experience still fantastic.
The staff were awesome. Super friendly and very helpful. Our room was very clean and the size was good for all of us. Our meals were very good.
Our stay at the Heritage Hotel was a great experience. Breakfast is excellent value. Our family only stayed the one night but really enjoyed the stay. Great venue. Would have loved to stay longer but hopefully will return in the future.
Great looking hotel in a great spot on a hill about 2km from town centre. Has a great single track mtb track and walking trails which are pretty demanding.
Hotel has a pool and spa with a sauna and we equipped gym. Fantastic staff who are all helpful. The Taiwanese girl at the buffet breakfast was so fun to talk to and super happy. She made everyones morning and she made everyone have a great fun start to the day.
Had a nice little waterfall on the balcony.
Negatives = The hotel is getting a bit aged and doesn't have much of the modern technology that you see in newly built hotels. The biggest let down were the beds are way too soft.
We stayed in this hotel for a conference gathering. The hotel facilities were ok, nothing to rave about. Standard fare for these style of hotels, breakfast wasn't great but wasn't terrible either. The beds however were super super soft. This is not normal hotel bedding I expect or am use to. Needless to say, I cut short ny stay because I couldn't sleep. That may tell you what I think about the Heritage.
Lovely buffet at The Southern Crawl Car Trial dinner. Staff were all very helpful and just lovely.
The front desk was always helpful and the food was average.breakfast needed a few extra items but the view is great and staff are too
Hotel is dated. However, the spacious room and facilities were a huge plus. The staff are amazing!
