First time whitewater rafting so a little apprehensive. No need!
The team really know their stuff and make it fun while keeping you safe on the water.
Big shout out to Guy, fun, informative and very encouraging.
Can't believe I've never done this before, won't be the last time.
Would recommend these guys to anyone thinking of giving it a go, you won't regret it.

Unforgettable day with the RealNZ team, i would highly recommend this activity if you are visiting Queenstown. My family of 4 did the whitewater rafting. Raft guides Justin and Ico were very friendly as well as funny and made us feel safe and comfortable throughout the whole journey. Don't worry about what to bring. These guys provided all of the equipment that we needed for rafting. We just needed to bring our own swimwear to wear inside the wet suit. Warm showers were also provided after the ride in their changing rooms, which were clean and well-kept. Highly recommended.

Participated in the Kawarau River jet boat-to-rafting trip and it was the highlight of my trip! Jet boating and rafting are iconic to NZ, so this experience really was a two for one deal! Even though it was 5 degrees out, the water was super enjoyable with the 5mm thick wetsuits provided. My guide, Gabe, was fun loving, witty and knowledgeable. Even on the last day of the season the vibes were enthusiastic. Definitely would recommend this product to anyone travelling to New Zealand, especially in the grade 2-3 rapids since they were calm enough to play Gabe’s pioneer raft games, not limited to; stand-up-paddle-rafting, vertical rafting and rock jumping. Yet the rapids were definitely still intense enough to be considered a thrilling experience. Photos were also free. Overall amazing product!

Cold and rainy start to the morning but that did not affect any of the staffs attitude. Everyone was very friendly and informative about safety measures. Our raft guide, Gabe, did a fantastic job job of keeping everyone safe and making the trip very enjoyable. Other shoutouts to Chris, the safety kayaker for looking out for all rafters and the bus driver for keeping us safe driving through Skippers Canyon. The team of guides took extra measures to ensure the safety of all raft members considering the intensity of the rapids. I felt very safe and confident in the unfortunate event of falling out. I would highly recommend to anyone traveling through Queenstown.

I did the Shotover river rafting, which was excellent - very beautiful and I found the grade 5 rapids challenging and exciting. All guides were absolutely excellent, with a particular shoutout to the legend Jess.

One thing to know is that they really mean it when they say that you have to be a decent swimmer. Our raft flipped (no one’s fault) and it was genuinely pretty intense getting swept through the rapids. I was really grateful they done such thorough safety briefings.

Really enjoyable experience and even getting flipped has added a good story!

I made unforgettable day, i would highly recommend this combo if you are visiting Queenstown in summer. Jet boating, swimming in the river, cliff jump with stunning scenery of Queenstown. Rafter was very friendly as well as made us feel safe and comfortable. After I finished my morning trip, I still had the whole day to do other activities. Don't worry about what to bring, they provided all of the equipment that I needed for rafting, I just needed swim wear to wear inside the wet suit and towel to use after a warm shower. I really liked that the changing room was very clean and tidy.

My partner and I did the Kawarau Jet boat and rafting combo. It was incredibly fun and great value! 2 experiences for 1. Even though they aren't the most crazy rapids they are still super fun. We had time to jump off rocks and swim down rapids too.

The guys were playful, relaxed and energetic but also very safe.

Our boat leader was Zane who was a great laugh.

Will was the guide on the other boat who also was funny and gave an excellent briefing.

10/10 great tour.

Jet to raft is easily one of the best things to do in Queenstown! If jet boating and rafting isn’t fun enough by itself, the guides are super friendly and funny and really make the experience. I’d never been rafting down rapids before this and the whole experience made me feel super safe, but defo a big shot of adrenaline! They even let you swim down one of the rapids and it was one of the funnest things I’ve done. Was grinning ear to ear the whole time.

We did a morning trip with group of mates. Morning started off really funny- Josh (our safety instructor) has a talent. The best comedian in town. He lifted everyone’s spirit and made sure that some people feel more relaxed about the journey.
The best part about the experience was Chris. Very experienced and humble guide. He ensured everyone is having a blast and shared with us more about his personal experience. I’d recommend to be physically fit for a journey- you will have more fun and guides can do more extreme stuff.
Great Time. Thank you guys

Our guide Jess was amazing (morning trip 18th feb 23)

Had an absolute ball

Look forward to doing it again in the future once the shotover has some good water in it

The staff from the bus drivers to the safety adviser were all approachable and knowledgeable

Who would think you could have so much fun getting wet!

The absolute best thing to do in Queenstown! We had such an incredible day with Kennan as our rafting guide, what a legend. All the staff here were so friendly and helpful too! This was a great way to see some incredible views and bond with your mates as your work together as a team to navigate some exciting rapids

Great White Water Rafting trip - half day on the Shotover. The whole team was professional and lots of fun. Everything was well explained and we felt safe at all times. Not super 'extreme', but a great time and would definitely recommend. Krish (sorry about the spelling) was a lovely, confident guide, team work makes the dream work!

Shotover River Whitewater Rafting. I must admit I was not super motivated when we showed up at 745am on a cold morning.but everything was perfect, and it turned out to be one of the best and most memorable activities we did in Queenstown.

Went on the Kawarau River jet boat to rafting trip yesterday, absolutely awesome the best thing I've done in NZ. This is the trip to go on its got everything.
The whole team were excellent and our boat guide Morgan is brilliant she not only gave us a fantastic river experience (kept us safe) she's also a top tour guide telling us loads about the area throughout the morning.
If I wasn't moving on I'd do this again

Friendly, professional and overall amazing staff. The overall experience is a little tame for the adventurous among us, though the busride to the start is not for the faint of heart. Still a good way to spend a nice day on the river.

Great trip. Really well priced makes it attractive to all sorts of budgets. Chris, our driver was a great guy and very knowledgeable and really happy to share that knowledge with the group. Yep, they may have had a minor crash last year but I never once felt unsafe. They have jackets to keep you dry but I recommend you wear a beanie or hat to keep your head warm. Sun glasses or something to keep the cold wind and glare out of your eyes

Went on the jet boat rafting combo. Shame that they neither let you use an action camera nor record video of the experience for purchase. They do click pictures but they were not done well at least for the tour I was in. That said.the rafting experience was good and I was confident in the ability of the staff during rafting. Jet boat on the lake is meh compared to shotover jet boat tour in the canyon.

Great tour. River was a little low so not the craziest ride but enjoyable nonetheless. Crew were great, comical and professional when it came to safety!
