People, we found this clean, very warm apartment with stunning views very comfortable to stay at. The well appointed kitchen has plenty of bench & cupboard space, & the main living area has a long, soft couch along with comfortable table chairs. The good sized main bedroom with a king size bed also has another small tv. Having a disabled compatible room provided us with a bathroom that had a larger shower area & higher loo so was also really nice. Car parking area can be a bit congested & tight.
Definitely recommend

The view is amazing! The kitchen is fully equipped, including an electric cooker for cooking, two independent laundry dryers, a laundry sink, and a dishwasher. The heating is very warm. The only downside is that the two toilets are a bit strange. After flushing, a small amount of excrement will be flushed into the toilet in another room. It should be due to the interconnection of the pipes below. We stayed for three nights, and it was not until the second night that we found out why it was so strange, but we had to go to another toilet to flush again Once the water is clean, everything else is perfect! Very relaxing place

Villa del Lago is magnificent! If you have the opportunity to stay here, I cannot recommend it enough. The villas are beautiful with a view of the lake and a great location near downtown. The staff are kind and very helpful.

Incredible view! The apartment was tidy, spacious, comfortable, staff did a good cleaning job 3-4 days into our weeklong stay, and we overall really enjoyed our time here. But knocking off a star for a few issues: 1) The steep stairways down to most units were challenging with bags and not at all disability friendly, and the car park is so horrendous that we walked the half-hour to the town center several times, rather than risking moving the car in and out. The parking spaces are directly opposite a jagged rock wall, and the only way of getting in and out is a narrow lane with sharp hairpin turns. I scraped my rental car's back bumper parking there for the first time, and will now owe damage money on a rental that otherwise went completely smoothly. I honestly would only recommend staying here with a car if you are excellent at parking and accustomed to narrow mountainside roads. 2) We were pleased to have a washer and dryer in the unit, but when we tried them they took forever to finish their cycles and, on further inspection, didn't actually clean OR dry our clothes. 3) There were a few weird stains on the curtains and on one of the armchairs in the living room.

Excellent accommodation. Before we arrived, clear instructions were given on parking and key which we had no problem following. Great contactless check in. Location is prime. Just 10mins from airport and 10mins from city center. Peaceful surrounding. We had a lake view room and indeed the view was superb. It was wonderful to wake up to. Room facilities were comprehensive. Fully equipped kitchen with all sorts of utensils, fridge, washing needs. Nice fire place that auto regulate. Bed was comfortable. Toilet was spacious. Room was very clean. In fact, the room was so comfortable that we overslept on the day of check out. Housekeeping team was really understanding and gave us some extra time to get ready. (Thank you!) I would stay here again if ever in Queenstown.

This is the best and most comfortable room we stayed in during our travels in New Zealand. It can be seen that the equipment is well used, the sound insulation of the floor-to-ceiling windows is also excellent, and watching the starry sky at night is also great. If we come here, we will definitely stay for a few more nights.

Very nice view, relaxing but had some quirky issues. No one was ever at the office so if you need anything you have to call. Just having someone 2-3 hours a few times a week would have been helpful. Didn't bother trying to call so maybe it isn't a big deal. Gas fireplace was tricky to get going and we needed the heat while we were there. And access is challenging. We had to park at the top and walk down quite a series of steps to our apartment. Maybe ones located below us would have been easier access. Tried to take out trash at end of stay per rules but all the trash cans were locked up, no one around and we needed to head to the airport.

This place is disgusting. We had to spend our first 30 mins cleaning the apartment. Dirty dishes, food marks on furniture, heating unit coated in dust. Greasy cutlery and sticky tables. Bugs on the wall. I really don’t know why they charge us a hefty cleaning fee when most parts of the room are filthy. They also don’t provide you with tissues nor kitchen towels so cleaning is really difficult. We came in on a Saturday night and left early Monday so it was not even possible to tell the staff about this as no one works during that time. The view is amazing but there are a lot of good views in Queenstown - so skip this place. Would not recommend (obviously). I get they are trying to save money post covid - but dont take it out on the customer.

The view is good. Facility are modernized. But, kitchen bench top and floor are greasy, dusty here and there. Need more cleaning work.

I booked a studio, while it has modern facilities (bathroom ground heating, electric fireplace) and offers lake view, there are some cons:

- it is located far from CBD area so driving is necessary (and parking in town is very expensive)
- the staircase is quite steep for the studio units, close to 30+ steps from carpark. Took us lots of effort to move the luggage
- parking could be challenging for some drivers, it is narrow and not properly labeled
- the exit to Frankton Road is on a high slope, and it’s two-way so must watch for traffic
- the guestbook has conflicting instructions: we were asked to throw rubbish ourselves, but the trash bins are locked
- WiFi is a lot slower than other places we stayed

Overall it is a unique stay but we felt there are better choices in Queenstown.

Beautiful lake front suite. Reception was incredibly accommodating and let us leave our car and large suitcase while we did an overnight trip to Milford Sound. An easy 25 minute walk to the city centre.

The bed was really comfy and comes with an electric blanket, floor heating, towel heating, and the fireplace was already turned on with lots of attention to detail was given to everything which made it a great stay. It has everything you need, great views, short distance to town, and perfect for a family at an affordable price ️️

The view from our apartment was spectacular, with the walk along the lake front delightful. There was an unpleasant odour in the apartment when we arrived. The ballistrades and touch surfaces were not clean and the bedroom walls were thick with dust. We bought our own cleaning products to clean what we could as none were provided. In summary, the apartment needed a really good clean, not just surface cleaning between guests.

My partner and I stayed for 3 nights and the apartment was clean, had everything we needed and the view was just spectacular! The bed was comfy and the apartment was very warm. We didn't mind walking up the steps every day, good exercise lol. Would definitely recommend Villa del Lago. Thank you!

I never got to stay at Villa Del Lago as COVID-19 cancelled my trip however I just wanted to point out how amazing & prompt the staff were in cancelling our room. They were straight onto it & gave us so many options. Very refreshing to see such beautiful people going above & beyond to make things easier for people having to deal with the effects of COVID19. We will most certainly be staying at Villa Del Lago one day in the hopefully not too distant future.

When we arrived we were delighted our fire was already on. Our view of the Remarkables was amazing and it could be seen while laying in bed. We loved the heated bathroom floor. Having a washer/dryer was really convenient. We would recommend and we hope to return.

Stupendous views, cleaning and replenished every day, warm comfortable rooms, informative and professional office staff, we really didn't need to ask for or fix anything, testament that luxury is simplicity.
Definitely will stay again on our next trip to Queenstown.

I enjoy staying in Villa del Lago. We stayed in a unit with a good sized room, plenty of living space and a full kitchen. The views are picturesque and the walk along the lake-side to the town center is fantastic.

Brilliant views over the lake, Remarkable mountains in the background. Cleaned room every day, walking distance to town and still deathly peaceful and quiet. Can't not give 5 stars having all that

Very clean spacious units with amazing views. Easy 20 min walk to Marine Parade with plenty of choices for food and drink. A short drive to lake Moke for an easy walk with great views.
