Awsome place to stay, have the family suite and it's so comfy for my family and I (3 adults 1 teenager) will definitely be back here as this is our come to spot whenever we come to New plymouth

Fabulous retro buildings, comfortable accommodation, affordable plus there was Juliana's restaurant

I was by far impressed staying here for a week. Staff were great and very friendly. The food from the restaurant was absolutely delicious and some of the best I've had from hotel stays in my time. Highly recommend and will return in future.
Yes like room although not having a view was still happy very spacious

Very good value for money! The rooms are huge with all the basic kitchen amenities including a little cooktop. Most places have a balcony/ outdoor area and there’s plenty of car parks.

The motor lodge is in a great location but the rooms are looking a little tired.
The restaurant has amazing food that is extremely delicious

Great value, good size room with 1 queen and 1 single bed, kitchen had fridge, microwave, stove top elements, toaster etc complimentary milk, tea and coffee. Shower over bath. Big plus we were able to have our small dog with us.

When we moved to New Plymouth this was the first place we stayed before we found a house to move. Absolutely a good place to stay, clean and tidy. Walking distance to the beach.

Rooms are really nice. The staff are really good with communicating and are really kind as well. Your rooms will have a fan, really nice beds and just a genuinely nice setting. Really good stay at this hotel with really good pools as well

We loved everything about this place. The room was great as was the restaurant and all the staff were friendly and helpful. The ladies at the front desk had no qualms with me using the phone to contact our rental car company when we had issues with our car and helped us to find solutions to our problems. Thank you so much again.

Excellent place to stay, starting to get abit tired however budget friendly, lovely staff, clean and in a great location.

I stayed in the “Executive Studio” with my 2 Kids, and our room was what I would expect for the price. It was basic, there was no sink in the kitchenette but the room was tidy and had what it needed. Our room wasn’t ready for an hour or so after check in, but front desk allowed us to cool off in their pool facilities until it was ready which was appreciated. Quick note, the pool is too deep for young kids, and the facilities (change room & area surrounding pool) felt neglected, but the pool itself was great. Also, for travelling Dog owners, I noted that they allow you to stay with your dog which is great to note!

We ate at the Restaurant Buffet in the morning, and was charged a touch over $100 for 1 adult and 2 kids (who ate cereal). The food was standard, but if I had have done my homework first I would have taken us thru the McD’s drive thru without hesitation.

I also take issue with the Yellow “Dog Man” ‘sculpture’ in the hotel/restaurant lobby. It’s unmissable. As a mum with kids (8 & 10), I found the entire thing unnecessarily explicit. I’m no prude, but the dog head on the naked male body with to scale genitalia, spiked collar and name “Big Boy” just uncomfortable, even in the name of art.

Overall my stay was standard and to expectation, staff were reasonably friendly and helpful and facilities were tidy.

Great place to stay and lovely facilities especially the pool and spa. Central location in the town and lovely staff. Rooms serviced well and plenty of parking.

Facilities were good and clean, reasonavle priced which was good, restaurant did lovely breakfast though the wait staff on that day came across rather unwelcoming, the lights above the bed were adjustable and after adjusting one I went to adjust the other and burnt the s**t out of my hand and had to put under cold running water for 20mins and was left with burn marks.advised staff on checkout who then asked if it was hot?
Checkout staff didn't seemed to worried but said they will get it looked at.

Rooms are just average but Bar and Restaurant is great. Staff super friendly and efficient.

Apartment suite booked and given a room with no cooking facilities meaning we were eating in the restaurant each night with our third night turned away and left finding some food elsewhere. The newer rooms are great but the older ones are tired. We didn’t even have a hook to hang towels on. With the price tag this was disappointing and most of the staff didn’t seem bothered.

We were comfortable in the room, the staff were friendly and helpful. Room was spacious, clean and warm. Laundry is on site and a pool area. We didn't use the pool as we went to the local pools with the water slides. The price of breakfast is unclear, we read breakfast was from $10- however when we checked out we were charged $110- for 2 adults and 1 child for 2 mornings of cereal and toast, we thought this was very expensive for what was available. Hotel is close to town, small walk from most things.

Must say, this was a awesome stay. We had a top floor room with views over looking the sea and also the town strip. Have a bar and resturant, with billard room and sea water pool and spa. Lovely stay here.

Stayed here for a few nights, the aircon had mould on the grills, was concerned something would fall onto my face during the night. Lovely front desk ladies however the cleaning crew could be more polite.
