Bach On Breakwater Cafe & Restaurant reviews
65Both my husband and I chose seafood options and thought they were delicious. We were well looked after and enjoyed the ambience.
Recently went there for lunch during a very busy period. I thought we were in for a very long wait. How wrong i was. Not a long wait, serving size (quantity) was excellent, food quality and service was also impressive. Keep up the good work:)
Below average presentation of food no garnish nothing at all. Extremely over priced $80 for two Eggs Bene and two drinks, one teaspoon of hollandaise on each egg. Phoned to give feedback thinking it had been a mistake but it wasn’t. Terrible representation of New Plymouth cafes.
First time we have been here.
More signage to the Cafe would be great.
Luv to come back again
I love dining here and will continue to come back again and again. One of the best menus to cater to vegetarians with so many tasty options to choose from as well as lots of yummy treats in the cabinet. Food comes to the table super fast, presented well and tastes amazing. The view out onto the beach is beautiful!
Beautiful place, we went in for my birthday and had a nice coffee and something sweet to eat.
The cheese scones are excellent, melt in the mouth, the service was quick and with a friendly smile
It was my birthday and my husband brought me here.i had the seafood chowder, which was absolutely delicious. Compliments to the chef.my husband had the breakfast menu. That was alot of food on his plate. Thank you so much.
Amazing food, Victor was a star very helpful and patient and loved the puds and aprons, highly recommend
Excellent service, the location was amazing and the food is so tasty, the coffee, what more can I say, exceptional.
Delicious! Very busy when we called in for lunch but there was extremely good service and lunch was served in no time at all. Can definitely recommend the seafood chowder which was devine.creamy and cheesy with lots of bite sized filling. Got a couple of delicious looking slices to go for afternoon tea. Highly recommend and will be back when we return to the area.
Brilliant stop along the coastal walkway bike ride. The service and food was devine in a great atmosphere.
The staff at The Bach on Breakwater were fantastic. They were friendly, intuitive to our needs, and went out of their way to make our dining experience really enjoyable. The food also SO good and we ate in the best setting near, well, the breakwater! All our party of five highly recommend The Bach knowing you won’t be disappointed
Have eaten at Bach on Breakwater several times. We always enjoy the food and the location. We will come again.
Awesome place to sip on a coffee or tea and eat some delicious snacks while watching the waterways of the port. The corn fritter is great.
One if female wait staff a bit abrupt but otherwise couldn't fault. Great selection & views
North Taranaki Cycling Advocates had a great visit to Bach on Breakwater as part of our Bring on Summer yellow-themed bike ride yesterday. Coffees and food came out fast even though we were a large group. The perfect stop when bike-riding on the Coastal Walkway.
Honestly not worth the price. The chef special is basically a fish and chips. And costed a whopping $80 for two people.
Not happy about getting a hoki burger made from super market crumbed hoki fillets being a Cafe slash restaurant this should be made from sratch
Enjoyed brunch here last week. There was a great atmosphere here, the food was tasty and we were able to get a booth seat for our group. There are also window seats with great views of the harbour and port. Would give 5 stars if menu had a few more gluten free options and if meals were a little less expensive.
