What a lovely place to enjoy your meal with a real Turkish generosity.we had our dinner here with a extended family and was so pleased to see we all had our meals at the same time hot & fresh.worth every single cent we spent here will definetely be back.

One of the worst places in New Plymouth, this place has now been sold a few times through its existence.

Used to be "Cafe Turkish" then renamed "Devons Turkish" and then sold again but left under the same name. The original store "Burnt down" years ago and the smoke from the store smelt like insurance fraud.

Once the store was sold and put under the name "Devons Turkish" the man running the store was SUPER onto it and the food was mint with the fillings being worth your money. Now days the guy that brought the store still seems to know nothing about business and fills everything with tasteless cabbage and cheeps out on all the fillings.

The man and woman that are always in there because he is to cheep to hire any staff (And when they did they always looked sad and never stayed there long) They are extremely rude to people for no reason at all I have had the man yell and me and my mother and have heard them go off at delivery drivers and at people down the phone. What they say is disgusting and surprised people support this store and its owners

Overall this place is not worth your money and neither are the people, if you want to get beautifully made Turkish food please try Cafe Turquoise!

We finally found a car park. Since Devon's Turkish cafe is in the middle of the city, all parking is not free. We managed to find one. Paid for our parking and made our way to the cafe. We were greeted well. We ordered our meals and we got our meals maybe less then 10 minutes. The meal was tasty but dry. There was hardly anyone at the cafe so we enjoyed the ambiance. The toilets need to be looked at. It is not clean. The cafe however looked clean. The layout and architecture resembles Turkey. We spent about an hour here. I will visit again

I get delivery from here often because I know I can get really delicious food and this is really the only place I can get delivery from where I am never disappointed. You can tell they love what they do. Whenever I do dine in, the staff are so friendly, with a smile, so welcoming. I love the atmosphere. I recommend this place highly. I will bring my family to dine in when they arrive here to visit. Best TURKISH FOOD TARANAKI Thank you very much.

Food was stone cold when delivered, hadn’t been heated at all, plus they can’t tell the difference between sprite and 7up

I don't often feel moved ro share reviews, but this was bad enough to share. We ordered a takeaway falafel and lamb kebab. They were unmarked and had the aluminium wrapped into the bread, so we had to pick it apart before eating. The falafel was dry and had way too little sauce and falafel. Definitely not worth the 35 bucks we paid for both.

The iskender meal was delicious and will last two days, if I ever need to eat again. Good taste, variety, colours, arrangement. Five star service.

Purchased a lamb iskender for lunch 2 days ago. Good portion size and fresh ingredients. Delicious lamb and filled me up for lunch. Turkish restaurant owner (s) were friendly.

Nice and rustic in a way. Good Turkish food. Sometimes food lacks flavor but majority of the time it's on point. Great place to grab a quick kebab

The couple who own the restaurant are so pleasant and really friendly. Their service was excellent. Yesterday and today my son and I visited the place to patronise. The baklava was super and the chicken kebab and other goodies very well and hygienically made. Just like home made. We will be visiting this restaurant again and recommend to others. You will get the best of service.
The best part is their smile.

Their meat on fries are second to none. If you want Turkish food this place is absolutely the way to go!

I visit here for the first time after years, so much has been changed.food was AAA+.
come back again today just to get my dinner but couldn't see the lady Elisa.her smile and generosity to my kids make us very happy.my son would ask where is the Turkish delight lady (she often offer my kids Turkish delight on the house)

Not the fresh vege.
Even steamed a meat.
I know already grilled.but when you guys put in the tin after grilled a meats and then few min or few hours just in the tin.don't say everytime change or check.
When you guys get the order then have to grill again but just make dish then give to customer, If like this processing, taste is bad.not real kebab.just warm meat

What a lovely people.we had our dinner here group of 12, all our meals come together, very fast service with a big smile and Real Turkish generousty.i havent seen any other place puts that many meats in the kebab it was a Real treat.and the baklava with loads of nuts and Turkish coffee just made my night.thanks team!
