Chopstix Restaurant & Bar New Plymouth

My new favourite restaurant. Beautiful food. Tastes like home cooked Chinese an old Chinese friend used to make. The maitre de is delightful. Kinda wonderful.

Simply one of the best Chinese restaurants I have dined in that I can remember. VIP treatment and unbelievably good food.

The food tastes authentic and delicious. By far one of the best I have had in nz. Best in New plymouth when it comes to the wonton soup.

Ordered pork belly, looked nice in the photo but came out quite different! 10 or so small pieces with something on the side which I couldn't identify. Not worth $29.very disappointed.

To be fair there was one group of dinners and their food looked ok. Wouldn't recommend takeaway

We regularly dine at Chopstix. Honestly one of the best restaurants in New Plymouth. Been here for birthdays, anniversaries and whenever we want to eat out. Always great food and service. Highly recommend dumplings, spring rolls, orange beef and Perking duck. There are a lot of yum char favourites and special dishes too.

Really good food especially Chinese food In Taranaki some yummy squid tentacles and wonton soup

Best Chinese restaurant in town. I love the Singapore style noodles, they're flavourful without being too sweet or salty.

Delicious! Sat outside was great to see it so busy. Everything freshly served & took some home in takeaway boxes

First time ordering, ordered the pork belly main takeaway but didn't realize it was just going to be 10 slices of belly encashed in cabbage. For $32.50 I expected more. Maybe a size of fries or something, other places do seasonal veg, mash etc.
Picture is 2 short because my partner and I tried it, 3 stars because it tasted pretty good and it arrived on time.

My boss rocky brought me a takeaway lunch from here today, not sure what it was called exactly, maybe steamed chilli chicken? It was the best I’ve eaten and I can’t wait to come in and try more dishes, I am very fussy, and this meal was absolutely delicious. Thank you

The portion of dishes is quite small. We ordered a few signiture dishes, but a bit too salty. Overall, it is ok as food are fresh.

The lady was very polite and let us know that it would take a bit of extra time that night. It really didn’t and everything was super nice. I recommend for sure

Food was delicious and the owner was very friendly. The potion of the food was good and compare with others are cheaper. We have 4 people, all feel full after the lunch

Don't waste your time and money here. Bad service, overpriced. A place for someone doesn't really know chinese food to eat in, or someone just needs a dinner without any other option (Noodle Canteen is 100m away, go for it). WHY OTHER VIEWS WERE ALL 5 STARS?

We were ment to go somewhere else but they were fully booked.and im so glad this place was soo good we order like 8 different things so we could try lots and it was all so good! Their menu has picturesnof everything and i love that! Friendly service. Definitely will be going back!

Could not fault any of the reasonably priced 10 dishes we got as a group. All Dumplings, Calamari, Chicken Fried Rice, Broccoli Garlic, Honey Chicken, Crispy Pork were all amazing. Fast and friendly service also, which was awesome Thank you

Went there for my daughter's birthday dinner. Food was really good and the service was great.

Went for dinner and throughly enjoyed the food, great menu selections and excellent service, keep it up team!

Throughly enjoy going to Chopstix for a meal, we go there quite often, especially as a group.
