My local go-to coffee experience, and occasional breakfast, eggs bene, mince on toast, or a sweet muffin to start my day

Breakfast bowl was nearly cold.
I felt it was rude the waitress leaning across me to get something off the table, whereas my friend next to me, she asked for her plate.

Brunch at Elixir Cafe today. Service was excellent, slight wait on kai arriving, but they were really busy, so was to be expected. Well worth the wait, the Elixir Big Breakfast was definitely worth waiting for. Kāwhe, cappuccino with chocolate was well made and presented, and the peach berry smoothie was delicious.

Well worth the visit, and highly recommend you do to.

Delicious food, great service and atmosphere. Quite large portions though so be prepared/share!

A must try in New Plymouth. Amazing and friendly service. They truly went above and beyond. Katana, our server was especially amazing. We were a big group originally seated outside and they very hastily made room indoors for us as it was a bit chilly. You MUST have the mince on toast, it’s famous to the restaurant and it was absolutely delicious. Excellent value for the price, please don’t miss out!

Knew there was a wait but good service and great coffee while we waited (less than expected). Halomi breakfast and full breakfast were tasty. Dog friendly seats outside.

Got a fresh juice from here, which I highly recommend. From the busyness of the Cafe it looks very popular with a lot of the tables reserved in advance. Cabinet food looked like a great selection and very tasty5

At first i thought the pricing was a little extreme but when my burger came out with what looked like a double serving of fries, it all made sense. Very busy little cafe with friendly staff and decent speed considering.

New years day and not many places open so cafe was very busy. However these guys were awesome. The food and coffee was fantastic. The staff were so good at their jobs, they were friendly and attentive and didnt let the stress get to them! Thanks guys, happy new year!

Amazing egg Benedict and mushrooms side was huge! Such friendly and upbeat waiters was a pleasure to eat here for the first time sorry no photos was way too eager to dig in ️

Best breakfast I've had in a long time. I ordered the Elixir Big Breakfast. The food was absolutely amazing and everything was cooked to perfection. To drink I had a Hot Choclate which was also good. The staff here were very friendly and professional. Overall I would definitely come back and here and I would highly recommend it. I

Great coffee and breakfast, also came by at 4pm to grab a coffee to go and they kindly served me despite being about to close.

Thank you for such amazing experience spent having the most delicious lunch Waffles and Fried Chicken Breast. Not a combination I would normally have, but my cousin recommend and said I would love it and I did.

First thing Labour Day, this place packed out within 5mins.the staff pumped it. Service was super fast and of the highest quality. Food was tantilisingly presented, fresh and full of flavour. Well worth the visit. Cheers Elixir!

It was a nice cafe but there is a small step near our table that you step down to leave and I didn't see it properly and fell so a sign wold be good for older people

Not many vegan options. Hard to adapt menu as food is precooked and reheated. So can't remove something and replace it with something else as it's cooked prior in butter.
Couldn't order alot off the menu because "the food is too expensive to buy for cafe".

Unfortunately a dissapointing first experience

3 stars as staff seemed nice, so made up for lack of food.

Partner got another dish and it seemed good.

Elixir was recommended to a friend and I by locals when we were visiting New Plymouth. We soon saw why it was so popular. The menu had some great options, and the food was delicious. Nice vibe in the cafe, and the staff were all very friendly.
