A really great place to dine, we were conversed with and made welcome. Had a worry about the spicy food but was recommended a beautiful dish, and I mean beautiful chicken Lababdar! I think if you don't like hot spicy this is a good try. Creamy and smooth. We added rice and nan bread. Kept it alcohol free night and was delighted with the experience. Thank you India Today. Great staff, great food, great decor. Really enjoyed the ambient music too.

I made an order online which cost me $60 but when I went to pick my order up, I was shocked to see that India today was closed, I am not happy, you owe me back my $60

Attentive service on arrival, took our drinks order then promptly came back for meal order. Starters came out, they forgot our mains, 2x waitresses said they'd check on mains, we continued to wait and when they finally arrived with the food they were the wrong heat. Really disappointed as was quite an expensive night for a meal we weren't at all happy with. Wouldn't go back.

Outstanding from start to finish. Very tidy bar and resturant. Food was incredible, knowledgeable helpful staff that kept checking up to see if the tremendous food was ok. I've found a new local for myself

Usually love this place. Wanted to order takeout. So rung and ordered something we have often ordered (Butter Paneer). They said they don’t have butter paneer. We then rung back and a different person answered the phone, they said they could do butter paneer. Got there to pick it up and the order took way longer than they said which we weren’t too mad about because they seemed busy. We had two waitresses come up to us asking what we were waiting for, but didn’t come back with an answer as to when our order would be ready. Finally it came out and we checked with the waitress that the meals were paneer, she confirmed with the docket. We drove over half an hour home and noticed all the vegetarian meals had chicken in them. That’s three people that couldn’t eat meals that were paid for. Was going to call up and complain however they were quite busy and it’s always hard to hear them over the phone, also the petrol we would of had to use to drive all the way there and then home again, would probably be the cost of the meals. Not trying to hate on the restaurant or anything, like I said I usually love the place. I am giving it a 1 star because that is the rating it deserves and based on the owners reply to other peoples 1 star reviews, I’m quite happy to keep it at that.

Many dishes could be altered to be vegan, and many GF options!

Really enjoyed coming to India Today/Koi for dinner with a group of friends. Ordered the Goat Masala which was delicious! We also had great service from Saroop. He was good fun!

Love the decor and theme of our new favourite restaurant. The service was friendly and efficient. We had delicious starters and main meal. It was surprising, and hard to resist, to be offered a chocolate brownie and ice cream for desert.

Highly recommended, particularly for travellers and tourists. It was a pleasure to dine here. The service was excellent, as was the food and quality of the restaurant. Overall, a very pleasant experience and I would love to be back.

Serious underwhelmed. Ordered lunch here today and got a very watery cold chicken korma, just over 3 quarters full for $17. Robbery! And where has the complimentry popadom gone? This is the second time this has happened now since they moved into the new building and had a change of staff. Looking at stopping buying food here after supporting for many years.

Tasty curry, sat in the window and had a good view of the world passing by. Great service.

Let me start by saying you when you are having a bad day craving good food in NZ and you are passing by New Plymouth. You have to visit India Today, you will get great Indian food when you least expect it. The ambience is beautiful, the food is amazing, the drinks have been thought about and their service absolutely top class. Definitely not to be missed!

Exquisite food and exceptional service, best Indian food I’ve ever had and the staff were fantastic. We asked the owner to order for us and the quantities were perfect, the selection was fantastic and EVERYTHING was delicious.
