Indian Zaika reviews
38Great place to dine in and takeaway. Get my curry every week never had issues staff is good good
The best food and great service too. I would move here from Australia just to eat here as often as possible. The good people of Hawera are so blessed to have Indian Zaika A million stars!
A lovely lunch and the service was excellent. We had the lunch special, which is very good value for money.
If you looking for great food and great value, don’t look further. Curries were incredible. Possibly the best curries I’ve had in New Zealand. 100% recommended
Awesome food. The best cheese naan. Great service. Only had delivery and takeway so far, but looking forward to dining in soon.
Visiting Hawera we were actually looking for another restaurant, but couldn't find it, so by chance ended up at Zaika. Really pleased we did. Food was great, as was service. The young man who looked after us was attentive but not in your face. The young woman looking after other tables seemed friendly and service on point. I would go again if I got the chance!
It took a long time to have our orders taken and we had to go to the bar to order drinks, but the food was top notch and once things got rolling, it was a wonderful evening
Back again, great menu, coconut rice was awesome with the Masala, really nice balanced flavours, can’t wait to return…
Twenty minutes to make Samosas? Why does it take that long when you have barely any customers to serve
We had butter chicken, mango chicken, and garlic naans. Everyone highly rated the food.
Definitely recommended
Beautifully presented, tasty dinner served promptly in a full dining room. Efficient, friendly staff.
Had lunch today with a bunch of friends. Everything was perfect. Served on time and time to eat and get back to work. Had a medium heat curry and it was delicious. Happy table of tāngata. Will def go back.
Service a bit rude to be honest. No thank you or goodbye upon leaving (despite going to the counter to say the food was good).
Butter chicken was really good and the garlic Naan was really nice. Would've been 5 stars if the guy at who was serving on the day of 27th July at lunchtime had more manners and gratitude towards paying customers.
Will try somewhere else next time.
Love this place, Awesome food and great service. Such a colourful interior, wonderful. Would love to go back someday and would recommend this to anyone. The food was perfect just the right amount of spice for me. Keep up the great work and thank you for this fantastic venue.
We were 3 n super hungry.our order was Tandoori chicken, dal fry, lamb nawabi, tawa chicken n rotis. Tandoori chicken n dal fry seemed like warmed in microwave. Tawa chicken was super sweet n dint feel like it was cooked on tawa at all, so muushy. Not satisfied with the food. Hope these guys improve.
I'm Indian and will travel to Hawera for real authentic Chicken Tika Masala. Nice happy and upbeat vibes.
We had a delicious meal here, not the usual butter chicken we would order at an Indian restaurant, we went for the lamb shank and mango chicken, both delicious! Great and friendly service too!
Had Lamb Kadai, which was delicious, my wife had Lamb Buna, which was also very good.
Service was friendly and efficient.
We were only in Hawera for the night, but would recommend this restaurant.
Took my family out for dinner who came from Auckland. Everyone loved the food. 10/10. Taste was excellent will be back again.
