As out of town visitors we were truly impressed with this beautiful family friendly area. Credit to the council and locals respectful of what's on offer.no rubbish any where

Didn't do much here, only stopped in on a road trip to make a few calls but it looked hella nice

Love the walk and view downside though the rock pools have been thrashed and should be left alone for a period of time to regenerate

Had fun with my special boy, he loved the red swing, it would be nice to have a liberty wheelchair swing in new Plymouth somewhere

Bring some water and dishing washing liquid. Can do mean boosts off the slides straight into the ocean. Might get a sore back from the rocks so do at your own risk.

Lovely park with a long walkway by the beach. Came here a lot as child. The slides are the best ️

Good play ground and long steep slide.
The playground is fun for the children and the coastal walkway on Todd pools are close.

One of our favorite places to visit. Great playground and swimming facilities. Loads of picnic options.and at low tide plenty of rock pools to explore

Playground and park on the edge of the Coastal Walkway, equipped with swings, rotating equipment and large slides down the bank. Has some grassed area ringed with pohutakawa trees and a parking area. Handy to the swimming pools.

Kawaroa Park is located next to the Todd Energy Aquatic Centre and the Kawaroa Park Squash Club on Tisch Avenue. It sprawls along the coast and has the Coastal Walkway winding through it. There is large children's playground with two slides running down the hillside. There is ample parking available but parks can get scarce during busy periods at the aquatic centre. The standout feature of Kawaroa Park is the views of the Tasman Sea and Port Taranaki. At low tide the original Kawaroa swimming pool becomes visible. The salt water pool was carved out of the volcanic rock but fell out of use many decades ago. It can no longer be used for swimming but at low tide makes an interesting addition to the rock pools and every child wants to test their balance and try to walk around the original pool walls.

Its beautiful and peaceful. Syncs perfectly with the aquatic center location as you can watch the sunset at the park after your relaxation from the sauna!

Inside pool is warm enough just to walk right into and added bonus is the spa pools for adults. Also has a steam and sauna rooms. Outdoor pool for summer. Adults avoid school holidays as taken over by kids but great for them to have a place to meet friends.
