Middleton Bay reviews
7Awsome hidden Beach that is dog friendly. Take care not to park in the boat trailer parks when the sea is calm I saw some ones camper get pulled out of the way with a tractor.would of been a totally avoidable situation if the camper had parked in a more suitable location.
Middleton Bay was rough and ready this morning. Stopped and had a cuppa and walked over to the beautiful little waterfall on the left hand side when driving passed the Opunake Boat Club shed.
The local obnoxious man who apparently lives at the boat ramp with his vicious uncontrolled dog, (which attacked my little puppy who was on a lead and probably would have killed him if I didn't react and kick the said dog)
Is not a nice person at all, he then tried to stand over me and be intimidating.
It's a pity such a beautiful part of our fantastic province is ruined by such let's say low forms of humans.
I write this to warn others with small dogs of my knowledge in the hope to prevent a would be a traumatic experience.
We personally (who are taranaki residents)
Will never visit there again and will be sure to tell others of our ordeal.
I just love places where you can park up, eat, have a view. Somedays you're the only one there, others carpark full. Cute very tiny run-off waterfall. Black sand. Rough. Not for swimming.
Three freedom camping spots and a lovely quiet beach to walk on. A number of anglers and some boats launched. Clean toilet.
Time to relax awesome place with sounds of the ocean an nature Fish from the sand or go boating even a refreshing swim.
Can't beat the bay visit as much as I can salt air, peace and great views love it
