58 All the way from Australia and Palmy North. 5 x adults.
Sweet and sour evening:
They hadn't switched over their phone going to VM. Tried to find the place. Not best signage.
First wait attendant had great customer service moved us to another table cause birdshit on the cushions, second wait staff was stressed because not much staff on yet to my aussie standards there werent many diners so why the stress?
Paid the bill before we got our dishes. Also bought pizza but was gona eat it back at the hotel and they wouldnt let us eat our jap dishes inside when a bird freshly pooped on my menu. No cutlery for those not confident with chopsticks. We also waited 49mins for a dish. Never got it. A bit of hassle trying to prove we hadnt received it but got my refund in the end.
The 2x cocktails were pricy and came with very little garnish.
Lift your game Snug Lounge.
Sad the experience was had. Not a venue to rave about.
I have been to Snug twice in the last month… i think that’ll tell you that I love going here! Service is always excellent, and drinks and food to die for! My favourite cocktail is the Green Fairy and the menu has a wide range of delicious food for anyone! Top faves are the chicken bao, salmon sashimi and kumara balls… yum! Highly recommend
I have tried to call 3 times this afternoon, to no answer.
Unfortunately a group of us went out to dinner last night (group of 7) and 4 of us woke up very ill this morning.
Very disappointed
Very disappointing, used the booking feature on their website to book a table of 7, for a daughters 16 birthday on a Monday. Was rung 10pm Friday night to say we couldn’t go the following night. There is nothing on the website to say under 18 years have to be accompanied by a guardian otherwise we would of never booked - no solution was given - so now scrambling to find an alternative- frankly not good enough
Late night drinks after dinner. Good service, good beer but no decaffeinated coffee for espresso martinis. Nice place to finish the evening
Nice food choices and indoor vaulted atrium with good heating. Seating ok but not that comfy. Great for a few drinks and small and tasty combo food options.
Unfortunately my gf makes me go here, were here last night and the food wasn't good wasn't bad just mediocre and the service same same but the girl at the bars attitude of better than you wears a bit thin after a while. Chur
Best to book ahead, this place is busy for good reason - absolutely delicious food. Extensive menu is full of variety and the small plates are an excellent way to sample everything. This is my fav in NP.
Great cocktails and yummy tapas style share plates, in a copy, funky lounge.
Service with a smile, great to visit with a friend or two.
Would like more gluten free options.
Love the food but a bit disappointed with the service surrounding the cyclone. We were booked in at 5pm and tried to call at 4pm to see if they were open as we live 30mins away. No answer and we called multiple times. Also sent a Facebook message with no reply and no updates on their Facebook page. It would have been great if the restaurant could have sent the patrons who were booked in for that day an email or phone call update as to weather or not they would be open. In the end we just assumed they were closed and ended up not going. Gutted we missed out on a yummy valentines dinner.
We loved our night at the Snug lounge, Gina served us and looked after us like a pro! Excellent customer service and atmosphere, we loved our vegetarian meal too along with an awesome buttery Chardonnay.
Excellent outdoor area with a few eateries surrounding that you can order from.
We went with the delicious salt & pepper squid and sashimi share plates. Absolutely fantastic. We already had the pork belly bao buns, not great because of all the bbq sauce but certainly not terrible.
100% look forward to heading back.
The food was good and the server great. It was abit dark to read the menu, but it was great regardless
Cant fault this place for service and food. We are visiting from Wellington and were very impressed with all the wait staff. Came here two nights in a row and each time had a good experience. Well done to our waitress Lita who was helpful, attentive and informative. Thank you,
Really disappointing. Good decor. Nice wait staff. Dumplings ok. Beef ok. Tempura was thick and stodgy.
Really yummy. Highlights were Pulled pork pot stickers and Karage Bao. The yuzu cheesecake is Japanese style baked cheesecake so light and fluffy. Delicious
What a brilliant place! Great cocktails and wine list - fabulous decor and atmosphere - a great asset for New Plymouth
Delicious Japanese small plates in the city centre. Nicely busy on a Monday. Very fast, efficient friendly service. A great spot, especially as we were staying next door.
Food was great and came out at a steady place. Summer sunset cocktail was beautiful and the fire was cosy. Amazing atmosphere and friendly service
Had a lovely dinner with my husband and our friends here last week. The ambiance was definitely with a cool vibe (5/5). Staff are welcoming. The food comes in relatively small serving so we ordered most on the menu but they are all good. We love the salt and pepper squid, a great pairing with their happy hour beer. A must try place specially if you fancy good food after work?
