Gorgeous little cafe - top knotch coffee and friendly welcoming service. Best pies in town.

It's harder and harder to find really quality handmade pies in New Plymouth, but this is the real deal. No mouthful of jelly here. The pies are filled with delicious, savoury stews and big pieces of meat (aside from mince, that is). The cabinet is filled with about sixteen different kinds of pies, from standard favorites like mince & cheese to interesting variations like steak, mushroom and blue cheese, lamb and mint sauce, and mussel seafood chowder. The owner Pip is really dedicated to her work, and it shows. Please support this business- there aren't that many real pie shops left and we need to support the ones that are doing the real work of keeping this part of Kiwi food culture alive.

Best pies in New Zealand! Really pleasant surprise. We visited the Paritutu rock and wanted to get something for the road. We couldn’t start driving until the pies were finished soooo good! With a lot of filling, quality ingredients and great mix of flavors. None if the liquid, gelatinous filling that other pies have. I had the amazing Eggs Benedict pie (has gotten reviews specially for it) and my husband had the Lamb one. We were so happy we will definitely come back!

Had the Paua Pie. Best pie ever. My partner loves the venison pie. Filling is real. Will be having them again. Great coffee and really friendly staff.

Wow wow wow just had the eggs bene pie - outstanding. Ozone coffee amazing too. Go here, huge big pies are off the charts amazing best pies in New Plymouth. These are the massive pies in store today. Big breakky pie, Eggs Benedict pie, pulled pork pie, potato, minted peas and lamb pie, potato, pea and mince, portobello, blue cheese and steak pie, butter chicken pie, steak and onion pie, pepper steak pie, steak and Mushroom pie, steak, bacon and cheese, steak and cheese, mince and mushroom pie, mince and cheese pie, mince pie, venison and red wine pie, creamy paua pie - outstsnding! Fabulous service from Pip the owner.

The range of second hand goods here is impressive! I'll be going back many times for bits n pieces.

Food looked great but couldn’t have any as they don’t take Credit - Sucks if your from overseas!

Friendly staff my only concern was my little jug of hot water l asked for with my black coffee was very small and had no handle which made it very hard to hold but a nice coffee

A Moturoa gem, the pies are the Best, the Steak, Portobello Mushroom & Blue Cheese & Mince n Mushroom are divine. It's lovely menu with all the favourites, good Coffee, great Service.

Tiger Town cafe has to have the best pies in town…we had the big brekkie pie and the blue cheese portobello mushroom pie.you can tell that the very best of ingredients go into these pies.
So good, weve started buying the them in bulk for use at home.

The best pies in town, hands down! Delicious fillings without the glutinous jelly filling. Seasonal fillings such as my current fav, chicken & asparagus and really good pastry… Ozone coffee & other tasty things if you don’t want a pie (what? !). Large family pies to take home too.

Ah. Yeah. Food is alright. I popped in based on recommendations from people who had been in. They talked this place up.
Staff are friendly but food is average. Had the super sammie?

We called in and grabbed a bite to eat. Sometimes all you want is a sandwich and a slice of cake. Super yummy. Reasonably priced, clean and friendly staff. Will pop in again. It's not very big so go early if you want a seat.

Called in today for a coffee. I was pleasantly surprised as I hadn’t been before. I had heard about the legendary pies of course. The menu looked delicious and I will be back for more of that. Warm friendly atmosphere. So happy this is my local.

A great cafe with THE best pies (coming from a mostly non-pie eater).
You walk into a lovely space with plants and original art work on the walls. Speedy service, either for takeaway or sitting down. Big selection of teas and the coffee is perfect.
