Great customer service Ryan was awesome, he was happy to answer any questions I had, booking a test drive was easy, as was the purchase/pick up if my new car.

I recently purchased a new vehicle from W. R. Phillips Mitsubishi, and I found the whole process so easy. Ryan was really informative, the handover process with Cam was thorough, and Kim from the service team has been really helpful with booking in for future services. I couldn't recommend W. R. Phillips more highly.

Popped in to look at a 7 seater and to discuss buying an Outlander runout as require a larger SUV.will be in touch when we are ready and you do the runout prices again.

Service has been consistently excellent. The staff are helpful and friendly. The workmanship has always been good and my vehicle has always been cleaned properly. Pricing is fair. Overall a good experience and I will continue to make use of them to service my vehicles.

My son rang looking for a part and was told the part number he gave them wasn't even a part number. Was then told ther was none in NZ. He then got straight on the phone to Hamilton dealer who said it was a part number and they had 20 in stock. It's like the NP dealer didn't even try

Recently purchased genuine Subaru parts from Mark at W R Phillips who was very helpful and managed to quickly find the parts I was after which turned up pretty much overnight. Great service.

Picked up a ute through Mike @WR Phillips and he was bloody helpful. Very quick communication, friendly and went out of his way to make the purchase possible even though we were not located in New Plymouth to pick the vehicle. Great follow up even after the purchase had been made.
Thoroughly recomend and will be a returning customer if another vehicle is required.

Only went for a re-call job and I found the staff bloody awesome very professional I would take my vehicle there if I wasn't a mechanic myself. Top notch!

I would have given this place a 4 star rating but for one of the employees: Kerry.
I live in Palmerston North but was working in NP for the day when I lost the only keys to my mitsi triton. After work I rang a Darren on the number provided on the WR website. He assured me everything would be sorted in the morning and he would pass on my info to his team. So i had my ute towed to WR.
The next morning I get a call from Kerry the receptionist. Kerry tells me he has no idea about anything happening (which I later found out is a common thing for him) and so I re-explained my position. Kerry said that they had no keys in stock so he would get parts to look through the country to see if anyone could give them a new key but if not I would have to wait 2 - 3 months for a new one from Japan what with Covid. He also said that it would take till about midday to sort that out (it was 8.30 at the time).

So I gave them till 12.30 in the arvo and when Kerry hadn't rung me I rung him. He said that they hadn't found any keys. So I went to Mister Minute in the city center and they said they might be able to find a key. I rerung Kerry asking if I could buy the key from mister minute would they be able to reprogram it for my ute. Kerry, after much waffling, said no but said they might have found a key and said he'd call me back in 30 min. At this point I was very stressed as I needed to leave NP ASAP. So after an hour with no call-back, I went to WR to talk to Kerry face to face.

Thankfully seeing me in person was the magic ingredient that Kerry needed to do his job. While he said they'd found a key in Whanganui, he gave no indication they were going to get it shipped ASAP. So I offered to drive in a rental to pick it up and be back there as soon as they opened the next day so they could sort it. When Kerry realized that 1. It was almost 2pm and he needed to leave work early and 2. I would be paying the other company for the key rather than his company he was quick to offer overnight delivery. He also promised that the key would get here early enough that they would have me on the road and ready to go in about the same time; about midmorning.

So the next day at 10.30, after not having received a call I again called Kerry. As per, he said that he had no idea if my car was finished but he'd call me back in 10 - 15 minutes with an answer. 45 minutes later I arrived at WR to see Kerry with his mouth open scrambling around his desk. Amazingly, just as I had walked in, they had just finished my ute.
AFTER I had payed, Kerry also mentioned that the key would have to be taken to someone to fix the edges as it didn't unlock the car door and that they usually gave the car a vacuum and a clean before returning it but as I was in a rush they didn't bother. An unfortunate but expected end to my dealings with Kerry

To sum up, if you come here for work and are passed on through Kerry, make sure you allow for 2pm knockoffs and just a general lack of knowledge that is only solved through continuous phone calls and unplanned visits.

Absolutely appalling service.
Tried on 3 separate occasions to get a quote from the parts department got they took a message and did not contact me back, got hung up on once and no awnser the last time.

Awesome experience made to feel wanted as customer and for my business. Bill Sonntag listened to my wants and matched me perfectly with my new car.
I look forward to dealing with the team in the future.

Very Good service and love it when my car gets returned clean.
When cleaning my car recently, a member of staff found a $ 50 inside my car that must have fallen out of my bag at some time but I no longer knew about. Such honesty was very impressive!

I struggled with the services on my older passat needing genuine parts flown in at exorbitant cost - more than I brought the car for.

Another service department said they could have fixed it for a fraction of the cost

Great fast service when our car broke down while we were on holiday. The staff were so helpful and lent us loan car which made things so much easier. Friendly, honest team and great communication. Would highly recommend.

Bought an ASX from Bill.he was very knowledgeable and friendly. Him and Steph made the process so easy and streamlined, we bought another one from Bill 8 months later. The service team made the 1500km check so easy.
The valet team made our second car, a used Golf look brand new. I recommend the team at WR Phillips any day!
