I had delicious fish ‘n chips. The store is relatively popular and you have to wait a long time for your order. I think the burgers are incredibly good, unfortunately I didn't order any.

The fish was fresh cooked and was well drained every though the we busy on a Friday the food quality was awesome I would go back again it put other fish and chips please to shame keep it up

Splashed out n got 2 flounder fillets, Joes didnt disappoint, best f me f a while, cheers, will b back.

I have ordered mussels and scallops yesterday, I must say this is the best for me so far in New Zealand. Keep the good work continue and thanks for the yummy food once again

Amazing food. Burgers are insanely delicious, high quality, and great value. The team are great and work super hard to pump the orders out. Hands down favourite Fish N Chip shop.

Doesn't bother picking up the phone, and this on a Thursday night (not usually as busy as the weekend). I'll take my custom elsewhere.

The best fish n chips in Nelson and Richmond. Really great service, always a wait due to huge popularity. Awesome burgers, great menu. Staff are great. Food always well cooked.

Not good. We only went here because Two little fish was closed. Joe's was the next closest. The fish was a lot of batter, and when we cut it in half, it was so dry, it looked like dehydrated Jerky and did not smell very pleasant. Chips were not much better. Ended up in the rubbish.

Far and away BEST fish and chips and BURGERS in the Tasman region. Buy extra flips as these reheat awesome in the air fryer next day.

When we moved back to nelson 3years ago, lived in richmond, tried Joes and it was mean, then moved to stoke a few months down the track and did the rounds trying to find a good fish n chip shop nearby, have been to every fish and chip shop in stoke and tried multiple in nelson and tahuna.now every time we get FC we see Joes Easily and CONSISTENTLY the best in the region!

Definitely the best fish n chips in the region! Wide selections of fresh fish, really crispy. Very popular, can order through phone to avoid waiting.

SO GOOD that we have stalked these guys across 4 separate shops over 20+ years. Russell Street fish and Chips; Haven Road Fish Supply; Giuseppe's Victory Square; and now to Richmond. I guess if you go to a place for a 'one-time' try you might get something you weren't happy about, but when you are a 2 week regular over a sustained period of time you get consistently AWESOME and delicious food, always really clean in store, and our meals just taste good. ***HOT TIP*** buy 5-10 extra Potato Flips to keep in your fridge, 4 minutes in the air fryer and they are almost better than first up. Easily the best fish n chips in Nelson.
Highly recommend any of their burgers, definitely the best burgers in Nelson and they don't charge ridiculous price's. Pretty much anything they cook is to perfection

Joe's is consistently good fish and chips. There are always people in the store and they offer meal packs for adults and children. There can be quite the delay if you pick the wrong time to drop by, so phoning your order is suggested. Staffing levels recently meant they had to stop serving burgers. They do offer crumbed fish if you don't want the batter. There are parks outside or you can walk through from the large car park behind the shops. We bought a family pack and some wedges, and ended up with heaps of food.

After such a busy day out cycling why bother worrying about cooking dinner? AND when you find a Fish and chip business that not only provides EXCELLENT food but is so immaculately clean then why not? Just look at the shine on the stainless vents, everything spotless.

Eaten here a few times, used to hear great reviews all the time. Chips have never been that good, either too oily or over cooked and the fish 3 out of 4 times has tasted very fishy as it should not and when paying good money for blue cod it should be perfect. Not the worst place I've been to but not too keen to go back
