Lydia's Cafe reviews
24Variety is the spice of life, especially the drinks menu, there are types of smoothies and coffees not found elsewhere. God bless you all and God defend NZ!
This mōrena I called in too #lydiascafe in #richmond for breakfast.
I found the service to be excellent, atmosphere refelective, hum of conversation and bursts of laughter.
Kai and kāwhe perfect, as was the smoothie. Really enjoyed my kai and kāwhe today.
What a great find. You know it’s good when you watch locals stream in, queue up, bringing their own Keep Cups. I enjoyed a great breakfast. Good coffee too!
The omelette was delish, it really hut the spot. The service was fantastic, highly recommend this cafe
Ordered the potato rosti, bacon and avocado with a side of poached eggs. Unfortunately the rosti was soggy and very oily. Rest of the dish was cooked ok.
While visiting Richmond from Whangarei, We had our breakfast three mornings here. So yummy and cooked beautifully. My husband is gluten free and there are plenty of g/f options too.
Fantastic coffee and friendly staff. We for recommend Lydia's Cafe from our hosts where we stayed and will recommend to our friends and Family who head to Nelson
Went early for breakfast.staff looked unhappy to see us as they had a big table booked.had to count the rosti's before we could order.ordered 3 vegetarian rosti breakfasts and all came with bacon on top.a friendly smile could go down well at Lydias
Rostie, Bacon and Avocado was OUTSTANDING!
Quite possibly the best Breakfast I've had at a Cafe.
Cafe was busy, ordered a medium flat white to go and sat to wait for my order. There were a few orders ahead of me so a wee wait (no problem!) another customer tapped me on the shoulder to ask if this was my order coming up and I look up from my phone to see a dirty look coming from the server- I can assume because I hadn’t heard her call my name.
Additionally I think I was given a small instead of a medium, or if I wasn’t the medium coffee cup is unusually small and is essentially a double shot with a splash of milk
Bought two wonderful paintings at an excellent, dare I say too cheap, price that were on the hanging on the wall by a very talented local artist. Friendly staff. Good food and coffee.
We order a big breakfast with extra sausage and the cook forgot to cook the sausage when its arrived.
Big breakfast was very poor and nothing exciting.
Coffee was good though.
Found the food very nice we ordered quality for to it was great kept it warm very well. Very happy to go here again.
So impressed with our lunch today. Hadn't eaten here before. Both had the savoury tart.one was bacon.one was mushroom. Both perfect. Delicate texture and great flavors. Coffee was excellent and I'm super fussy! Ginger slice also very nice. Thanks Lydia.
A wide variety of fresh homemade food, very tasty. Staff friendly and place is clean. Also great coffee.
We have been going to a cafe everyday for breakfast since we got to Nelson Region 4 days ago. This has been the only disappointment. Big Breakfast was plain not particularly well cooked and boring, and the smoothies we got were the most god awful concoction we have ever drank. Also the staff were not as friendly as the other cafes (not rude or anything just not as friendly) a lot of better places around
Lovely food cooked on the premises, been going there for yrs
Chicken pasta bake is our favourite
Right in the centre of Richmond
NZ on the top of South Island.
Good location and selection of food for morning tea and lunch.
Cozy casual Good for kids
265 Queen Street Richmond
Sublime coffee is lovely
Scrambled eggs were great
Good place, as long as you don't arrive near closing time.
We arrived ten minutes to closing time and they would not make us a coffee.
There was no room at the inn for baby Jesus to be born!
But we found a cafe near by that had excellent coffee. We are thankful for that.
Disappointed in the service.
