Historic location that has a real feeling of New Zealand history, super cool layout with shops and activities for the kids to do, why wouldn’t you take the hole family to this lovely location, don’t forget to hire a bike and go for a trail ride.

Was a beautiful place to sit and eat lunch. There are picnic tables dotted around the area and the kids can jump in the sea from the wharf. You can catch a public transport boat from the wharf to the other beach across the way. Fun experience!

A beautiful place, well worth a visit and a perfect place from which to visit Rabbit Island. However, the pub was noisy and crowded for us at 7pm in early February and the eateries were expensive.

Really recommend this spot.good places to eat and shop, in a compact area. We biked out along the Great Taste Trail from Nelson, and that was a good easy ride to do.

Very busy place. Lots of attractive eateries and shops. Good parking. Nice nautical atmosphere, esp when the tide is in.

Best gluten free fish and chups I've ever had. Enjoy the views while you wait and get notified by TXT when your order is ready.

Lunch at Jellyfish Restaurant was excellent. Lovely view from veranda to the Harbour and of the Mapua Ferry to Rabbit Island. Great shops with an interesting array of art and crafts.

Excellent day to visit, blustery, threat of rain so lovely to eat hot chips out in the wind from a wrapped up paper, delicious, best way to eat! Then follow up with cuppa earl grey sitting outside overlooking the wee bay, stunning!

A wonderful settlement, in the docks and with new buildings added, to make it into a must see area when you are in Nelson. A relaxed atmosphere watching the ferry taking people across to and from the island. Many restaurants and cafes to choose from and some art and bric a brac shops including boutique clothing shops.

This is the best spot for a wander and a meal or snack in Mapua. Take your dog because every place has water bowls for the dogs to keep cool. If you go after 3pm you might see the local kids jumping off the wharf.

It was a fun pebble beach, had some docks to jump into the water, fun restaurant environment around. All around a pretty good time.

Wonderful on a sunny day. Great place to go and eat with a number of different options. A few gift type shops but nothing special.

Good vibes, many restaurants and eateries to pick from, gift shops and galleries. Yes it is touristic but still charming for a visit.

An amazing place with a great buzz with people enjoying themselves. Terrific places to eat. Grandchildren loved jumping off the wharf and then getting berry fruit icecream.
