Motueka Sandspit - Quay Entrance

Just a few minutes from Motueka village or township. It’s a great place to walk with your family or with your dog. Very quiet too. The view of the waters is pretty amazing at whatever time of the day. We stopped by for about an hour or so and my youngest son started to build something from the rocks which abound on the shoreline. You can oak off street too.

Nice walk down from Staples Road towards the end of the Sandspit. It's further than you think so time it with low tide to cut across to the Quay side entrance. Waxing birds, gulls & oystercatchers.

This walkway is fantastic. The views are great even on a grey day. Beautiful for the dog to runaround, or to go jogging by yourself. Thank you Motueka for a wonderful place put aside for walking. M & J.

Greeting the sunrise on this beach is such an experience one needs to explore.breathtakingly awesome
