The Barn is a magical stay in a magical place. The entrance to Abel Tasman is right outside the grounds, and the peaceful vibe is sure to make you smile. Don’t miss out

Fantastic! This is a treasure of a spot. Stay here! We stayed in the queen cabin and it was picturesque. Great shared kitchen, super clean bathrooms, great hot shower. Awesome cabin, awesome staff, everything was perfect. Even a food truck was there! And you can just walk to the Abel Tasman track, to kayaking in marahau, or to the cafe/bar/restaurant next door. Seriously best location for a vacation. Not to mention it’s the perfect base for the Abel Tasman hikes / sailing / everything. We also rented their camping gear and it was in perfect condition and super reasonably priced.

The glamping house is small but warm with a heater. Most are facing east so you can enjoy sunrise without walking out. Some animals are around and chicks n ducks will welcome you in the morning. Just near Abel tasman hiking track and the view is excellent! Shared kitchen is nice and tidy with utensils that needed to cook. Shared toilet and bathroom are convenient and clean with hair blows.

Great location. We just felt uncomfortable with the locals who stay there, they stared a lot and that was weird. Made us feel like we. Weren't supposed to be in the movie room.

The kitchen is tiny. There were around 10 people in it in the off season which is a surprise. It seems like everyone was cooking for a family of five. Lovely front desk service, thanks for hospitality.

My wife and I stayed in one of the glamping tents for 1 night before exploring the Abel Tasman national park. It was the perfect stop - close to the park, great accommodations, clean bathrooms. We’d recommend it to anyone who is looking to stay near the park for an affordable price. We wish we could have stayed here longer. Make sure to hit up The Park Cafe bar/restaurant next door on a Thursday night for open mic. It really gets going!

Great location to visit the park.communal facilities are in good condition (campsite).
we tried the cabins and the dorms.double cabins are pretty small and have very tiny space to leave stuff, great views but at night you have to close the curtains to avoid being exposed so you lose the nice views.
Dorms were good, very comfy beds, spacious and plenty of sockets!
pre paid wi-fi
pleasant staff

Rustic campsite, showers and toilets are very old and not 100% clean, location outside of town (at the start of the Abel Tasman Track) and there is no dump station.

One of our favourite sites we stayed at in NZ - awesome location, comfortable rooms and good kitchen facilities

Strong sewage smell, basic facilities given the large number of people and the price per night. The owners must be printing money with this place. Needs some investment quite badly.

Very cosy campground. I loved the good vibes at the reception and tons of details all over the campground. It lies at the entrance of Abel Tasman, ideal for day walks or kayaking trips.

We spent two nights in a non-powered site. The campsite is quite natural, with views and access to the sea. It has farm animals and many birds, including some typical ones like the weka. For kayak activities it is great since the companies are just a few minutes walk away. It has a restaurant very close where they prepare wood-fired pizzas in others, with live music some nights. To finish the facilities are in good condition. The Wi-Fi only works if you are close to the reception.

Absolutely brilliant, beautiful, nice atmosphere, spacious, open terrain with all cabins facing the same direction, maintaining some privacy.
Located on an active farm with views of the seaside and the outskirts of the Marlborough Sound in the distance. Multiple well equipped kitchen and sanitary buildings.

Small but serviceable rooms. Good facilities, and close to the Abel Tasman National Park. Wonderful.

Convenient, clean and offering a range of services, including great coffee, for those starting or ending the Abel Tasman track. Kitchens & relaxing common areas are well appointed and staff are knowledgeable as to transport, sights, etc.

Fun atmosphere! Lots to do around camp- games, fire pit, full kitchen, garden and beach walk. We loved staying here before tramping around Abel Tasman.

Nope never again. Pricey and smelly. The place absolutely reeked of sewage and I tried to mask it in the tent with eucalyptus oil but it didn't really work. A chicken put 3 holes in my expensive tent by pecking at it. Honestly save your money and go down the road to Beachfront camp ground

What an amazing wee spot! Beautiful views, nice hot showers, clean and tidy. The kitchen has everything you need! So well stoked. Awesome for the kids and a big bonus you can take your 4 legged fur babies. We will definitely be back!

We stayed here the night before and after walking the Abel Tasman, there were two families with young kids. We hired a family cabin & the beach bach & highly recommend. Was lovely to be able to cook a big hot breakfast before our walk & enjoy the outdoor bath after the walk at the Bach. Family cabins were clean & warm. Kids loved the common room & the Easter egg hunt! Great facilities, super friendly staff that went over & above. Highly recommend The barn.
