The Cow Shed Restaurant

Great meal at the Cow Shed on Monday roast night. Very reasonable prices on food and drinks and friendly service.

A cold winter evening to be travelling but the bright lights and welcoming blackboard letting us know time of last service and takeaway orders reassured us we had plenty of time to stop. Sexy salmon pizza was irresistible with cream cheese, Capers and Pesto adding plenty of flavour. Husband went for his favourite Fush & chips that arrived with plenty of sauce, tartare, salad and chips. A tasty sauvignon and we could have settled in for the evening but reluctantly got back on the road. Will call again.

Atmosphere is great, friendly service and food is equivalent to an amazing pub food which is reflected on the price as well!

Absolutely fantastic Monday night special… the roast dinner. Staff are lovely. Would definitely come here again, but unfortunately just passing through and staying overnight at The Lazy Cow.

Nice place, had a pizza wvout any of my allergen foods - tomato & potato and if was divine.

Rustic country comfort with delicious food. Any of the pizzas are delicious as are their nibbles (tapas)

The food was amazingly fresh and tasty. Beautifully presented and fast service. Limited menu but just the right amount of variety for our party. The kids devoured their pizza, the korean chicken special was delicious and the salad was a delightful taste of summer.

Nice decor, nice service, very nice food. A big garden where you can sit when the weather is great otherwise aircon inside. Open already 4.30 pm. We got pizza and they were really great. Worth a visit when you’re in town or traveling through. If you stay at the accommodation you get a free drink for every pizza you buy.

Visited here on our way from Picton to Fox Glazier for an early dinner.

They've got great pizza with variety of meat and vegetarian options. You can have your inside the beautifully decorated restaurant or outdoor area with tables and little huts. The young staff is friendly and very helpful.

The wash room is neatly arranged and clean.

Very friendly staff and helpful good value for money recommend their world famous lasagne and the teenagers couldn’t finish their pizza so they supplied a box so the could finish later.

Visiting from Canada and ate here this evening with my kids and family. Tried the pizza, Korean chicken, salad, and lasagna. All were excellent, exceeding all expectations. Friendly staff, quick service, great all around!

We ate at Cow Shed last night, it was a perfect evening to eat outside and the outdoor eating area was perfect. We had 2 12 inch pizzas (the 2 of us were very hungry, we hadn’t eaten all day) Pear-fection and Murch Chook. They were both great and not greasy. We liked the Murch Chook a little more, but both were great. We had a couple of drinks one without alcohol, both very good. The cost was really reasonable, about $43 US.

Such an amazing find. Needed a break after 3 hours in the saddle and stumbled on this. Super friendly staff, amazing pizza and a couple of good brews set in a really great setting.

Super yum! Stoked to be passing through Murchison at the right time to have dinner. Just sad I don’t live closer.

We really enjoyed our time and our meal at The Cow Shed. It was very very busy so the meals took a while to be served but the service was excellent.

Great dinner spot in Murchison. Quirky and pleasant atmosphere and great pizzas and other food options. Must do for an evening dinner
