Totos Café & Pizzeria reviews
46Great pizza, smoothies and view, but don't bother going to see the generator unless you're really interested in HEP! ️
Great freshly cooked pizza in a beautiful environment. Well worth the journey along a bumpy track
Awesome place, great views and pizzas were delicious, our kids only eat ham and cheese pizza so ordered that, but ended up eating some of our salmon pizza and loved it. Will go back again on this holiday!
Funny little eco hippy place stuck on the side of the hill. Setting is simple and nice with cold drinks and wifi. Wood fired pizza available but didn't try one. Nothing else around for miles so call in and help keep it going.
Third year in a row we have visited and enjoyed the outstanding pizza. Amazing scenery, service, ambience, food and beverages. Extremely kid friendly as well. Highly recommend the carrot cake too
Hungry after half a day kayaking our wait for the food was eased by reading the enthralling story of the owners’ vision for this place and their commitment to sustainability. The best espresso I’ve had in NZ also kept me going along with wonderful views, a lovely garden, great beer selection, and kids running around happily in nature. The wood fired pizza arrived in about 25 minutes and was delicious! Very professionally run place whilst maintaining a laid back vibe. It’s a well oiled machine with soul. Thanks!
Probably the best pizzas in NZ. Great coffee and cakes too (carrot cake unbeatable). Super situation
Fantastic stop with good food, pizza's cooked in the oven right in front. The views are superb and with the surrounds of native bush and wild life sounds a superb stop to or from Abel Tasman.
Just be careful on the 10k of gravel road. Remember to stay on your side around corners & not be af-wit driver!
One of the most amazing cafes in nz. Great coffee great fantastic pizza cooked in a wood oven. Yum. At the moment it's only open on Sundays 10am till 5pm and not when raining. Go check it out
Beautiful location with friendly staff and delicious food. Fairly pricey at ~$12 for a small pizza and ~$24 for a large pizza but well worth it. Toppings were super nice and covered the whole base, which was thin and crispy. Well worth the visit, highly recommended!
Absolutely delightful pizza lunch spot. Highly recommend escape from the rat race. Peaceful surroundings and fantastic owners.
You have to really want to get to this place because it is on a gravel road several miles off the highway. But it is worth the effort to get there - the pizza was wonderful! They also have a large selection of craft beers. My partner had a summer shandy & I had a radler and both tasted great. A lovely spot to sit outside in the sun by Abel Tasman NP and enjoy a beautiful day in NZ!
Eating the best woodfired pizza overlooking spectacular views was unforgettable for us. We even had a cheeky Weka join in the fun. Well worth a winding dusty climb to get there.
Beautiful view, good taste, but there were some logistical problems (already discussed with the Toto team)
Great place with great food, however the dishes are very small compare to the price you pay over there.
Great fire oven roasted pizza on the road to Awaroa and Totaranui! Looking forward to going back.
Extremely poor customer service*******. The girl working talked to us about pizzas and sizes then once we were interested in getting one told us we couldn't because we didn't have a reservation. Fine so we order two bottles of beer.which she then handed us a number for instead of just handing us the two bottles which would take just as long. THEN it took over 5 minutes to receive our two bottles of beer- and it wasn't even busy we and one other table were the only ones there. Again fine.but the thing that really upset me was the fact that I went to the bathroom.the water didn't work in the sink and was out of paper towel so I had to wait for the other stall to be free to wash the soap I had in my hands off (not a big deal) but when I went to let her know so it could be fixed and restocked she told me I was wrong! FIRST RULE OF CUSTOMER SERVICE - the customer is NEVER wrong! I have worked hospo for 15 years and this was so rude to me knowing you should simply say thank you for letting me know.
I will say the resturaunt itself is beautiful and in a great spot with horseshoes and games. But I would not recommend going and will never go back myself- which is really a shame because I wanted to try their pizza.
Toto's is an amazing find in an amazing location. Set amongst the beautiful Abel Tasman Park on the way to Totaranui Beach. The views across to Farewell Spiy match the tasty fare on offer. The fresh baking every day is well worth trying out. Always a highlight of our visit.
Great pizza and outdoor seating with a view of Wainui Bay. Desserts and smoothies also recommended.
