Acacia Bay Garden Centre

Great local plant place. The staff are so helpful and friendly and there are heaps of choices of beautiful plants. Veggies, flowers, trees and every plant you can imagine! There are some Gift selections too. Worth a trip from town to have a browse!

I called in today for the first time and I was so impressed with the quality of the stock and how affordable it was. The service was really sweet, absolutely recommend this centre for everything garden! You will be my new local:)

Such a lovely local store to visit to check out the great selection, I drop in whenever I`m in town and it's always wonderful. Cute pots big and small/different colours for indoors and outdoors and lovely little gift items from local artists and producers. I was delighted to find Native Bird seed and similar items there as well and when the Tree that I had ordered arrived they rang me the same day, thank you so much ;) ;)

Lovely friendly owners and staff. Food more expensive than supermarket, as to be expected. They have a good variety of essentials including alcoholic beverages and I've never purchased anything and driving home to find it has past the expiry date out as with some similar stores.

Unfortunately I had a terrible experience with this dairy. They were extremely rude from the start. I have a mask exemption and they were flat out horrible to me because I “didn’t inform them of my exemption” when I entered the shop. I then asked them if they wanted my business and they told me to “go somewhere else next time” this is unfortunate because I am alway keen to support local family owned businesses.

What a great little garden centre. Small but good selection of healthy plants and some great giftware. The ladies that work there are lovely and really helpful.

I reached out to the Acacia Bay garden center over Facebook as I live in London and my parents in Taupo - the staff were so helpful to assist me with arranging a gift for my parents to collect. Timely responses and took photos so I could see things. Thank you so much for the help!

The staff are super knowledgeable about growing in the area and are great help. If you need something hard to find they will help you get it!

A family owned and operated business. Lovely people who are highly valued by the community. The store is very well stocked and you can always get what you need.

Handy little convenience store/dairy. They have all the essentials (including beer and wine). Much easier than heading into town when you’re staying in acacia bay and only need a few bits and pieces.

Despite seeming like a small shop when you drive up, there is an excellent selection of plants, which you might not find in a more general garden centre like Mitre 10. The staff are extremely helpful, Sally brought me something from her home because they were otherwise out of stock. They are very knowledgeable and give great advice. I love it here, support local!

Only place to get excellent veg plants and staff are great. Have a good variety of trees, shrubs etc

Nice little nursery, knowledgeable staff and the advantage of a lot of tall shrubs. So they already look established when you plant them.

This garden centre is one of Taupō’s hidden gems, huge range of plants and products and friendly, knowledgeable staff

Very friendly people with good customer service. The shop opens early morning and closes at 9 PM with a big range of groceries and goods which, added to it's location, makes it a very ideal convenient store for locals.

Haven't been to this nursery for many years and fell in love with the variety of plants and friendliness of the staff
