AgResearch (Ruakura Research Centre)

As a resident living next door to and liaising with Ruakura Research Station and its animals for the last forty nine years I am left feeling very disappointed that someone in your organisation has taken upon themselves to show their local community disrespect with its new locking gate and no dog's policy. People love the freedom to walk through the grounds, and enjoy their local Chiefs practicing. Local residents I talk to that feel a big part of Ruakura's community are angry with whomever has taken it upon themselves to stop its local residents from walking to and from the university, accessing Research Motors and other departments etc, not allowing responsible dog owners walking their dogs on leashes on Saturdays and Sundays etc. Ruakura is a beautiful asset that should be shared with all of it's community to enjoy.
