Arang Korean Restaurant reviews
51Fantastic place to eat. I’ve been dozens of times over the years and it’s always fantastic.
The bulgogi had more of vegetables than meat - 70% veges, 30% beef.
The beef tendon hotpot was lacking ingredients.
This is one of the most delicious Korean restaurants I've visited in New Zealand. I recommend this if you want to go to a Korean restaurant in Hamilton.
Great quality Korean restaurant in Hamilton. It's definitely a must-try when in the area, and you're craving some delicious korean dishes!
The stir fried very spicy squid was delicious (i was a little worried the spice level would be too hot but it was just right - just a warm chilli glow!), the staff were very nice and helpful. Food arrived hot and quick, overall experience was very good. I will definitely be back again.
Heard good things about this place so gave it a go. Unfortunately some of the foods we ordered were a bit of a miss. Maybe because it was a busy night or maybe we were just unlucky. Some portions were skewed, not a lot of meat and way more rice and vegetables so it was a bit disappointing. Reminded me of my frugal life and I would save my meat portions by eating a lot more rice to compensate lol. My mum unfortunately only managed half a plate because the remaining was just rice and cabbage. Otherwise food tastes pretty good, when you have meat to go with it.
Changed the boss, it’s much worse than before, the price is more expensive, the portion is less, and the waiter doesn’t care
Brought takeaway, paid online and a very easy experience! The food was delicious! Thank you
Experience 2
We had in the restaurant and was very delicious and service was perfect!
Friendly staff.
Delicious food, well porportioned and priced. Really enjoyed the spicy rice cake!
There are also a variety of free side dishes / appetisers - like pickles, seaweed etc.
As good as the food is. I am very disappointed with their poor service skills.
I went to the restaurant, it was full. I was told to leave my phone number and in 15 minutes someone would call me. I waited for more than 20 minutes, they never called. I walked around the restaurant and there were plenty of tables available.
I went to the very nice Thai restaurant nearby.
Please consider improving your customer service skills
If you say that you are calling the call.
Me and wife had lunch here.and food is beautifully presented and cooked.
Welldone Team?
Interesting Korean restaurant with good menu selections. I took some people who hadn't had Korean food before and they loved it.
Staff are really rude even after I took out a piece of plastic stuff from my mouth and without even a sry. They quickly collected and go away. Just give customers a "pay your money and go away attitude". Grumpy and not very friendly. Fist time, last time. Would recommend going elsewhere
Not worth the money. We ordered 3 from their stirfry menu and only 1/3 of the dish is meat it is mostly cabbage. We ordered 6 mains but only given 2 set of side dish. Staff also appears to be overwhelm with lots of customers.
Not a traditional Korean food restaurant but more like morden Korean steet food. Quite a lot cheese, butter, etc. One of my favorite restaurant in the town and I believe it is one of the best Korean restaurant here as well. The space is quite small unfortunately. Not very enjoy the squeezey room.
Highly recommend their cheese ricecake, BBQ spicy pork and the beef hot pot.
I don't think the food is great.and the overall service from the staff is average. Overcooked octopus is like eating rubber.
They sold me burnt food casually.
The chef there doesn't seem to know the basics of cooking.
Kimchi stew was good could use more spice and umami taste. Korean hotdog was terrible as per my partner, the hotdog was really hard and chewy. But service was excellent! Still I would thank you for the food and service.
Absolutely awesome meal. First time eating authentic Korean cuisine. Definitely a great place to go for a meal. Meal sizes are huge. The small was big enough to feed a big guy like me.
Well, the dining experience is extremely terrible today, not sure if the owner changed or whatever reason. The seafood tofu stew, $21, half of the stew is filled with sliced onions, 3 pieces of dry or frozen shrimp and 2-3 pieces of dry mussel meat. The stew bowl size is even smaller than my palm. My husband ordered stir fried beef, $24, two in third is cabbage. The images on the menu are completely different from what we were served. Looks like a fraud but will no come back anymore. I did take photos of the dishes but it looks even worse than the comment!
