Edit - downgraded as they jumped on the discrimination bandwagon. Was turned away because I’m not vaccinated. Wont be back.

Took my son there did exactly what he asked for and was happy. Though I thought the price was a bit high. Similar shops in Auckland and Hamilton are better value.
As a man that values a great haircut, I've found John delivers the same great skills that you'd find in any major city, with small town friendliness.
But be warned, if you're a married man, you might get unwelcomed attention from the ladies after stepping out of the shop and looking so sharp!

Arrived at 430pm says opens until 5pm the owner told me he was fully booked I left walked back past the shop and the doors were shut and closed before 445pm. Missed out on two potential regular customers not very professional!
