Budget Car & Truck Rental Taupo Downtown

On pickup from Riflerange rd Taupo the guy at counter was really helpful and everything went well. However on return of vechile to another destination as was one way, I took photo of dash showing fuel gauge, time on clock and Airport signage in backround in case of any issues. I have been charged the price of filling this car with fuel even though providing photo evidence showing fuel gauge was just sitting under fill. I do not recommend this company as after care does not exist and they can take any amount of $ from your credit card without any correct reasoning why. If this company sees fit to refund my $ taken from my credit card I will change my review.

Worst car rental place in New Zealand, we had to take a car on the ferry due to time constraints and these guys charged us $1600, their reason it was to send someone down to get the car back. Not to mention the guy behind the desk was a arrogant ballbag. Prices weren't to bad and the car in good condition

Prices weren't bad the receptionist was fabulous, I wasn't sure how long I'd need the car for as I was getting my vehicle fixed and she talked me through the best options for me. The afternoon I was picking up my car I was delayed and this company closes at 5pm I was not going to make that deadline so I rang budget cars and luckily a gentle was still there I advised him that I was running late he stayed back until 5.30pm for me not many companies would do that. Staff are very friendly and helpful thank you Budget for all your help and time highly recommend this company

Really friendly staff. Made to feel welcome. They turned around the car I wanted super quick as it had only just come in. Nice modern well looked after vehicle. I will be coming back to these guys again as I know the top notch service I'll get.

Kindest staff ever! Had a great experience and couldn't feel safer in our car. A short walk from the city but definitely needed to car to enjoy the neighboring roads of Taupo. Thanks budget!
