Cabbage Tree Cafe reviews
60Beautiful food, great value for money! Toilets were clean and the service impeccable. Highly recommend eating here.
Lovely Food, Fantastic service & and great coffee, Great pit spot in Tirau while passing through
Love this cafè. Their coffee is superior, their bubble teas are fantastic and their food is so delicious and their portions generous
The Cabbage tree cafe is by far the best cafe in Tirau. The workers are very polite and they always greet you with a smile, the food is absolutely incredible and the variety of food to choose from is great. Definitely will be dining in here again.

Went to bathroom and it looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a week. Decided to not eat there as I didn’t know if that dirtiness was reflected in their kitchen.
Absolutely best pitstop at our journey on North Island. The food was the best, so yummy! We had the lamb burger and chef's special steamed mussles with tomato, sausage and garlic broth, coffee and blueberry friand. Service is good, food comes fast and the atmosphere is warm, everyone is happy here. If we go this route avain, will definitely stop by again to eat.
Lovely place. Great food and friendly faces. My new favourite cafe when coming thru Ti rau.
Great little cafe by the main street.
Food was good and tasty.
Lovely to sit outside under the shade
Stopped in on the way back from a trip to Hamilton, to be honest didn't really expect to be wowed but the burgers were some of the best we had ever tried, along with the chips which we ordered extra just to have more, coffee was decent being able to draw on the walls in a quaint little touch, the only weakness was the poor training for younger staff being that the girl on the till was more interested in her phone than clearing tables that were loaded.other than that will definitely be returning on our next trip.
Outstanding
Very busy 3 days b4 Xmas food was amazing great coffee and service.
If you don't stop here you would have really missed out
Ordered the pork belly pie was dry microwaved and was sweet. Ordered the coffee, bitter. Ordered the chicken Fillo pastry also sweet and dry. Lastly no napkins on table, not happy.
Excellent cafe to help break up your drive and grab a cappuccino and eggs Benedict. Plenty of outdoor seating and the drink was delicious, I loved how they put chocolate on the top of the foam on the cappuccino! The slalom eggs benefit hit the spot too!
Food was good with plenty of options on the menu. Came by for lunch and enjoyed it. Nice to sit alfresco and watch the cars, trucks and occasional bikers go by. Parking is all around the area.
Nice food, young lady at the counter needs training in how to smile and be a bit more confident.
Amazing Cafe. Great menu and cabinet food. Walls and ceilings signed everywhere by customers. Totally unique. Well worth a stop in Tirau.
Small issue with our order today but it was dealt with professionally and was given a full refund. Food was amazing and made up for the wait. Well done team for sorting it out. I recommend this place.
Nice food but only average. Got eggs on toast $18 for 2 eggs and 2 bits of toast cost probably $4
Popped in for a quick breakfast, stayed for the GREAT food and service. The meal was larger than expected with a bit of everything. All the food going past us to other customers made me hungrier! Took photos but can't upload.such a shame.
There are so many cafes to choose from in Tirau I wouldn’t waste my time on this one again. Weak coffee. Bad food.
