Cafe Botanix reviews
35Very good coffee. Cinnamon/apple swirl delicious. Nice atmosphere, pleasant setting within the Palmers Garden centre. Easy to find location. Good parking. Wheelchair accessible.
Mum and I called in for lunch, and what a great choice. Friendly service, yummy food with good choices, a calming, peaceful atmosphere, and plenty of parking. Will definitely call again. Bonus is the lovely gift shop with some super birthday and xmas ideas and the plant shop. 5 stars overall
I was a little disappointed. Barely cooked eggs Benedict, no friendly chat other than the transaction. I left feeling disappointed. With the cost of living, going out for a meal is such a rarity, sadly this time it wasn’t great.
This is a well set up cafe and great to go if you want to relax and the kids can entertain themselves in the play area…
Unfortunately there was a staff member who was just awful and ruined our experience, she swore at the kids playing and I ordered a coffee and she just left it on the counter even though we were seated there and just had breakfast there, as I was walking out I grabbed my coffee it was cold and she just rolled her eyes… everything was fine except for her service! Maybe she hates her job but we won’t be back!
Always a lovely place to have lunch then wander around the garxen centre and shop. I had toasted sandwhich - good price and nice but the cheese was 1 or 2 slices of orange processed cheese - this is something I wouldn't buy and eat myself so was disappointed - I know prices are high - the meal wasn't too expensive but I would like proper cheese
I ordered a single shot americano coffee and asked for a tiny amount of milk only to find that I was going to be charged $1 for about 20mls of milk. Doing the sums, as I only wanted 50% of the usual amount of coffee (for which I was as happy to pay $4.50) you would have thought that when I objected to paying $1 for a tiny amount of milk, the assistant (who may have been the owner) would have had the commercial sense to waive the milk charge. Not so! But then again when this business changed hands the new owners (which may or may not be the current owners) refused to honour the previous coffee card even though the business had not changed its identity. Needless to say, neither I nor the ladies behind me in the queue, who were listening with interest, will be going there again as I was able to tell them the names of other local cafes that did not charge for milk
Had breakfast there this morning. Poached eggs on toast. Toast tasted of oil, must have been put through the toasted sandwich maker. Very plain, no butter, no condiments or sprig of anything. Definitely not worth $14. Very disappointing
Very helpful when I was organising my Mothers 91st birthday outing.ideal place with visual effects of garden centre and what lady even at 91 doesn't like to still potter in the lovely gift area!
We had a very tasty lunch it was the chicken and avocado salad. Although it took a while to be brought out, it was well worth the wait. Absolutely delicious.
Nice experience, great coffee and what better than being surrounded by a garden centre with fresh lovely plants.
Loved visiting this cute little cafe, had a great outdoor vibe Lovely ladies at the counter, great coffee and I had the waffles with bacon! So so so good!
Sorry my pictures are screenshots of my video I took!
This cafe is attatched to Palmers Garden World in Rototuna. Coffee is quite good and still reasonably well priced. Food selection is average but what l have tried was tasty and well presented
Food is fine, experience could be improved by friendlier staff. Have been twice in last two weeks and not very welcoming.
Delicious food, best beer-battered fries in Hamilton and beautiful service. Lovely meals and scrumptious sweets. Definitely going back, so worth going to.

Ordered a latte, flat white, iced coffee with oat milk, mocha and a scone. Latte and flat white were great! Iced coffee with oat milk wasn’t very good. We sampled the oat milk - and it was tasty - but the remade drink wasn’t much better. The mocha didn’t taste like anything. They offered to replace the mocha, but we opted for a cold drink from the fridge.
The scone came with margarine instead of butter. It was a really good scone (maybe a bit too dry and crumbly) until we found a hair in it. We were a bit over the experience by this point and opted not to mention it.
Caffe Botanix is good for a takeaway latte, but we’ll probably get coffee from McDonald’s next time.
Get the beer battered fries - definitely the best fries in Hamilton! Other food super yum too although the chicken with the chicken maple waffles was a little tough. Our favourite local cafe
I have been to this cafe a few times and have found that my experience depends on who serves me. The blonde lady with long hair is consistently great and accomodating- everyone else consistently average - whether it’s closing the cafe before advertised opening hours, making excuses about why the drink she made might be average (even before I’ve tried it) or not providing blended cold drinks - even though I’ve had them before at this place.
What a poor excuse of a cafe everything looked lovely we ordered a bacon toasted sandwich, yes we asked for crispy bacon but what a disgrace bacon in the center of 2 dry piece of toast. When we committed was told if we want our toasted sandwiches cooked with butter we should have asked. Bread was cooked in a toaster and bacon put in the middle. Very dry and tasteless. Took ages to come out, partner had finished his before my parents arrived and they would have finshed these before mine ihad arrived if it had been eatable.
Lovely cafe in the gardens, really nice food and drinks - especially the chips and muffins are so yum. Love taking my friends there!
Exceptional, EVERY time!
Went for brunch the coffee is flawless the customer service is ALWAYS excellent! We had two sips of our coffee and the food came out! Was beautifully presented, fresh, hot and just delicious! Just the perfect spot to grab a coffee and breakfast lunch or brunch!
