Very nice place for breakfast, good coffee and a lot of space in the backyard. Awesome for a nice sunny morning

Cute and unassuming place but my soy flat white was on point. Kumara rosti and French toast were delicious and came out quickly. Played a game of chess there. Just a really top quality breakfast experience.

Both coffee and food are consistently good love the courtyard the cheese rolls are great

Ordered ' big breakfast' as it used to be good.
However this morning the ' big breakfast' was like this
A small amount of mushrooms
Two number 5 eggs
One piece of toast
One sauge half normal size and raw in the middle
Fried potato with skin smelling strange
And two halfs of tomato warmed up.
Did not comment when I gave it back and there was no apology from there side.
Coffee used to be very good today milky
Very bad experience not to be had again there. Sad as it was a nice cafe and brought many tourist there who all enjoyed sitting outside in the back yard.

Chequers Cafe in Thames is one nicest Cafes I've been. There food is delicious & very affordable & you can sit outside in a nice Courtyard & staff are very friendly & helpful

Slow man, really really really slow, forgetful and looked like they hadnt had that many customers before. New stuff thrown in, old staff got frizzled.
I mean, you could have just shut ya doors on the already overwhelmed kitchen you had.
We ordered 2 flats and a tea, 3 cabinet foods.
Food came out in different times, about 20 mins from each other and then the drinks 45 minutes later. Ive NEVER waited 45 minutes for a coffee.
You werent that busy, you were just greedy, under staffed, and not know when to say no.
Next time, shut your doors stating you are full and then open them again when up to speed. Or better yet, be honest with your customers and have a "wait" sign on the counter. That way when those who only have an hour spare in Thames, are not sitting in your cafe for that time.
As for the barking dogs inside, of you are allowing dogs, make them an owners sit outside.
Nothing like a non dog person trying to finally eat their lunch with wet dog smell lingering my table!

Service was very good.
The food was tasty and nice and hot.
The courtyard was a lovely relaxing place to eat.

A very busy cafe but not well organised. Lost of staff all rushing around but not working together and orders coming out haphazardly, observed serveral customers having to come up to the counter to ask for the items that had not been given, our included which was a cake. Coffee was not good, I had a short black and if you can't get that right well all your other coffees are going to be poor.

My partner & I ordered lunch & a coffee. Our coffee arrived & My partners toastie. My fish pie didn't arrive, when I questioned the whereabouts of my fish pie 2 servers stood by the heating up area arguing where it was, i said you can stop blaming each other & just get my lunch.my partner finished his lunch My pie still no where to b seen. I asked for my money back & we left. Not a good experience. Will not go back.

Food is over cooked coffee is burnt and the lady serving needs to smile not a good experience

We waited for quite a long time for the coffee and food. We like fish pie and fish hotpot, very tasty

Great staff, lovely food, we sat in the very pleasant courtyard with the friendly cats. My friend was thrilled to find a vegan option on the menu and I had a great quiche which came with a tasty side salad. Very enjoyable and good coffee

Great little Cafe, with great homely food.
Staff were worked off there feet but they worked well together.
