43Would not recommend, manager is super rude. Not enough equipment for the amount of members and things are always broken
Since I have to pay a $200 cancellation fee it’s only fair I give 1 star. Take this in to account before committing to a membership!
Refused entry twice by the same receptionist (around 0600pm 8/9/20 female), Her first reason was because its peak time, second reason, I have to book. Understandably, I guess its because of covid, however while standing outside, she allow others in.
Why? Hell with your gym
We have joined about 2 Months now. We booked 2 session with trainers Sagar Madha, who is totally unprofessional. He didn't contact us but when we contact him given small introduction, it was not an hour.
Second session for half an hour after a
Month. We still didn't see have one session be left.
Very money minded and very unprofessional.
We would like to change to another one and she mentioned that She is not going to be paid for this.
How stupid is that?
I signed up wit City fitness had a 1 years contract with them that I carried out and stayed with them for 1year and a half but stopped going 6months back so decided to cancel my gym membership with them, I was told there was no Cancellation fee's or charge but had to pay a thurther 4xweeks and a extra $6 for a extra 2days costing me $66 in the end! Not happy!
Third time I've been there and practically every bench, squat rack and machine is occupied. Stop accepting new members if your facilities can't accommodate them.
Really bad equipment to people ratio. Way to many members already and they are still advertising for more members?
Nobody cleans the equipment after they use it, the staff don't enforce any towel use policys. The place often smells scodie. There are no workout classes after 7pm, which is fairly useless.
I find it to be very judgemental and critical, especially from the managerial side. I really love the equipment and the gym members the only thing that lets it down is the manager. The regional manager Finn really tries his best to make sure the members are well looked after and safe, however hiring young staff with little or no life experiences can make it difficult to adjust to the place. Having more experienced older staff members with more life experiences usually offers more understanding. I only go there maybe once or twice a week and only for the leg equipment. I believe the leg equipment there is the best in H-town and the price of $6.99 a week is the best.
Not enough equipments need another location in Hamilton. Been to Hastings and Kelvin Grove (Palmerston) city fitness was great 5/5 for them. Need similar in Hamilton
Ummm. I think its abit weird that i have to pay $20 for a trial. Im genuinely looking for another gym to train at. I ended up leaving today to trial another gym instead. I personally like to trial out a gym for a few days to get the feel of it before i even consider signing up. And $100 for a week is outrageous. I wasnt taken through the membership deals at all.my friend goes here i MAY have been more inclined to sign up. But after the not so friendly service this morning by the dude at the desk, it made me not want to sign up or come back. Gyms are friendly, but he was not.
They need to have a bigger space and stop signing people up. There not enough machines there's like maybe 2 of each, having to wait for a machine aint fun and not everyone can go at like 10pm when it's not so busy.
Very busy gym. Crazy trying to work out at peak times. They are very cheap, but you get what you pay for.
Good price nice machine but so busy
I think not the branch problem but they need to open more branches
Been to a few gyms in Hamilton and this one has in my opinion has the best facilities 24hr with the most equipment and the best no contract price packages. My only gripe and it's a biggy, I have trouble gaining access with my key card out side business hours and have complained about 4 times and the issue is on going. Otherwise would be 5*
Its a gym with clasees.not much else to the place.
Peak hours are always terrible.
Equipment is old or dated.
But its a cheap 24 hour gym. Plenty of weights and plenty of treadmills.
Getting far too busy and the staff don't seem to know how to change the toilet roll. It's also amazing how many people can't match numbers or is it that they can't count? Strong enough to use the weights strong enough to put them back
Booked in for a class as I was travelling for work and the instructor did not show up to take a class. Apparently wasn’t the first time BUT the morning crew was super flexible and we had fun facilitating our own HITT class.
Great 6am crew, beautiful facilities and the gym over all was really nice! High standard.
I love how there’s a HITT centre, gym facilities and Abundance Centre all in one!
I would definitively go back.
Joined up a couple of weeks ago. Great gym with everything you need. Does get pretty busy though, as to be expected I guess.
Great gym.to bad the guest sign in on the app isn't quicker for people you take constantly.
Loved this gym. A bit challenging to get to if you are not driving and coming fromnthe city centre.
