Amazing tasting food. Fries were small crispy potatoes and absolutely incredibly delicious. On the expensive side but worth every penny.
The owner was there by himself but was very good at multitasking and preparing meals and bringing them out and still having time to chat to our kids.

A hidden gem in the Waikato. Genuine hospitality from an extremely experienced Chef. Great food made with care. Reuben rates the xtreme chocolate brownie 1 million stars. Well done Roland.

The food here was amazing, we had lamb cutlets and grilled duck, both perfectly cooked and seasoned. Delicious fresh roast vegetables too. Friendly staff with great service.

The food and staff were amazing. Great service from the amazing husband and wife team. The food was amazing, pasta was amazing and the baked cheesecake was to die for. For the amount of food we received, it was very, very affordable! We will definitely be coming back here next time we are in Waihi.

Beautiful ambience and interior. Had the platter was $92 and it was overly priced for overcooked meat beef and lamb Kebab, only the chicken was juicy and perfectly cooked. Overall I couldn’t tasted Mediterranean spice at all. Would not recommend this place again, Had really good drinks selection on the drinks menu.

But the prices have to be 15% lower in order to be appropiate. For a few dollars more you get award-winnig food with more generous portions outside Waikino.

Delicious meal as always we visit. This place has a soul. I wish that every restaurant owners are so conected with their customers as they are. Own veggie garden, so always fresh. Food is always made with love. We will be returning customers for as long as we can. Thanks

Situated in Waihi, we found this place via a quick Google search.

The food was really really good especially if you’re tired of eating the usual burger/fries/steak and potatoes.
We had the mixed platter which had the chicken, lamb and beef grilled kebabs. They were amazing! Quite authentic and very close to actual Turkish/Lebanese food.

We had the blueberry tart white vanilla and blueberry ice cream which was surprisingly very tasty. The tart was soft and moist and just melted away.

We had some Pinot Gris and dessert wine (Riesling) which went really well with our food.
Soul satisfying food! A must visit if you’re heading to Waihi.

This place is an absolute gem! Off the beaten track, tucked away with views of the hills and pine trees you will be greeted by the charming and friendly owners Mufide and Roland who make you feel welcome.

Excellent imported wines picked by Mufide herself, matched with delicious fresh food made with love! The place is clean and the restrooms were clean.

This place offers an authentic Turkish experience and Mufide looked after us well. Thank you Down Thyme, we will be back ️

We struck gold here in Waihi as my husband and I had a wonderful dining experience at this gem of a restaurant. The food was delicious, with good service by friendly and welcoming hosts. We are locals and definitely look forward to our next meal here.

This is a cute little spot in Waihi, and was just mins away from our accommodation. The owners are very friendly and take the time out to talk to their guests. The minute you enter, you are warmly greeted and the meals were authentic and delicious. You could feel the warmth and love from the meals themselves. The Baklava was so yummy.

Amazing personal touch and family restaurant vibe. Food was delicious, best experience we've had in a long time!

This was the most wonderful restaurant to eat at. Mufide was so welcoming and wonderful and accomodating especially with my almost 2 year old nephew throughout our meal, and Ronalds food was delicious. Can highly recommend this wonderful family run restaurant.
