Golden Kiwi Restaurant reviews
31I've been going to the golden kiwi with my family since I was 5 years old. Their standards have never dropped. Always on the mark.
Excellent customer service! Love the selection and the set up! This is what a local should be!
Fish n chips old school dining. Go every month cause it us old school Morrinsville how I remember it back in the 70's.
Asked a friend who was local where the best fish n chips were locally. They mentioned the Golden Kiwi without hesitation. We had a yum feed, fish was super fresh and well drained from cooking oil.
Good wholesome kiwi style tucker. Highly recommend the fish or the works burgers and love how you can eat in the dining area even as takeaway. Classic kiwi hospitality.
We really love this place, we aim to go every week. The meals come with chips and salad which has good ole fashion beetroot, tomatoes and cheeses and a great uncomplicated dressing. My go to meal is either steak or squid rings. Whilst one kid enjoys a battered mussels meal and the other likes pan fried fish, but there are other options. Very rarely can you find a place to sit down in a clean and welcoming environment for a meal that cost only $10 each. There are kids options which a slightly cheaper either way it’s still a bargain. The staff are great and we always leave satisfied.
Pan seared fish is amazing! Clean restaurant and great service. The only fish and chips in town I’ll eat
It's the best Fish & Chips I ever had. Great service, nice people & very clean place.
My grandchildren and i bought chips from their and they just loved them and my family like their chips as well and they arr fussy with the chips they eat
A real down to earth traditional fish and chip shop, complete with a dine in restaurant area for some cosy dining. Seem to have some good fish hook ups and our fish was plump and fresh and delicious. All the standard fish and chip shop fare (not a Chinese Takeaways type of place), cooked with love and at reasonable prices. Get it in ya.
Disappointed when after a 45 minute wait am only passed the fish without my order of chips. The phone was to blame they say. Perhaps read the order back to the customer.
Just had an awesome dinner here. Come on in and try them. Fresh cooked snapper, sausage and chips. Best takeaway dinner for a long time
This is a amazing old school fish-shop. Primo small restaurant which a great place to call in try it you r self. Just have to go.see.wonderful.
Haven't been here for more than 20 years, was surprised to see Carol still serving. The food is still supurb.
I love the Golden Kiwi Restaurant the service is excellent and the food great, as takeaways or to stay in.
I really appreciate them catering for Gluten Free food, it makes such a difference knowing you can trust the food and that the chef knows how to cook G/F Food. Thanks alot.
Jacinda's first job at 14yo LOL! I never rate without visiting but my girl says it's still great after all these years and that's good enough for me
The lady who answers the phone is the owner.it's going to be the last time I order.she's very rude with no customer service skills.
Last time I had a meal here was about 20 years ago, got served by a commie and found some horse hair in my meal!
