Hahei Holiday Resort reviews
65 Nice place, really close to the beach.
The facilities are perfect, makes the camping spirit a bit soft, but who care if you can have a hot shower after a swim?
Came camping here for the first time with the kids and they loved it. Around the Christmas and New Year period there is always something on and the food and drinks onsite are amazing!
Great location to stay at. You would be at the heart of Hahei at the start of cathedral cove track, right on the beach, and very close to everything in town.
We looked having George's brewery in the campsite with a pizza and burger options.
The site doesn't operate the hot tub in summer because of the water restrictions.
The resort is massive and have many long term tenants.
The power sites require camping lead that is not useful if you don't have them.
The kitchen and showers are redundant and great to have an assigned site (i.e. Powered, even though we couldn't use the power).
We stayed in their Garden Studio and the room was perfect for what we needed. The property is 5 minute walk away from the cathedral cove trailhead on the beach.
Hahei Beach Resort is fantastic. The team there go over and beyond to help everyone have a wonderful experience. We were especially cared for during the stormy Summer holidays.
Consider bringing noise cancelling headphones with you if you decide to camp here. During my stay there was a loud party until at least 1: 30 am complete with drunk singing to rocket man, and obnoxiously
loud pulsating music.
Beautiful campground, stunning beach, great nearby hikes, lovely staff. My only complaint is that it’s hard to sleep in a tent with a party going on in the campground!
Sad that a "resort" only has 1 hot tub and if was booked up the whole time. Kitchen was nice and the private cabins were a cool touch. Wifi was not good though, if you're needing it to be reliable for work like me this probably isn't the place. Outside of that, good experience though expensive for what's included.
Positiv
- tolle Lage am Meer
- wir hatten eine gemütliche und gut ausgestattete Hütte
- freundliche und hilfsbereite Angestellte
- schön angelegt, mit viel Natur
- gute Pizzen
Negativ
- nichts!
Top notch location and views. Staff are excellent, professional and friendly. Campground amenities, restaurant and bar all awesome. The Seaview villas have a great view. We will be back!
Perfect walking distance to the beach. There's a lovely outdoor Cafe, serving delicious freshly made to order wood fired pizzas, a bar, and burgers. 1 draw back, our 3 bedroom cabins has only 1 bathroom. Could be an inconvenience for 7 of us at times. I wish there was 1 more bathroom, it would have been perfect.
Hahei is my favorite spot for the summer, be it a longer stay or just overnight while riding the Coro-loop, Hahei beach resort is my go to for accommodation. Awesome camp sites and facilities, cabins are basic but comfy, and the pop-up bar and burger joint over summer is awesome! They are always willing to accommodate however they can.
Very good site. All amenities spotless. Bar and burgers really good. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again.
Great facilities, situated right on the beach. Can be very busy in peak season so make sure to book ahead of schedule
This is a regular place for us to camp. The beach is just over the dune. The kids disappear for hours but the resort is so safe we don't worry at all.
Great amenities and really accommodating as well as friendly staff. Would recommend to friends to stay here.
Went in November for a work trip when Auckland was in lock down, so Hahei was extremely quiet. Didn't stay in the campground, but went everyday for fresh coffee and a blether with the staff who were friendly and helpful about the area. Had a look around the campground and defo would consider staying there in future as looks amazing and on a beautiful site right by the beach. The weather was stunning. Special shout out and thankyou to the wonderful Makuini. My Husky fell in love at first sight with Makuini who offered to dog sit on her day off while I went Kayaking. Thankyou so much couldn't have gone otherwise. Makuini you have such a beautiful connection to animals, must be your lovely spirit! Wish we could clone you.snaaaw
My boyfriend and I came to camp here for 5 nights on a non powered site. We were checking in late and fully accommodated for, it was so easy for us to be able to come in when we were able to after driving down from Auckland after work. The campground itself is huge and has everything you could need - coffees, smoothies and toasted sandwiches in the morning, and a bar with pizzas and burgers for dinner. Amazing location also right on the beach! We were sort of towards the further end of the campground from the beach but it was still about a minute or so walk, and the outdoor showers were incredibly handy! They also had a hot tub with such a beautiful view over the beach which we thought was really cool too. After our third night, it had been raining pretty consistently and our tent was starting to get a little wet and cold on the inside, so with two nights left we asked at the office if there was any possibility we would be able to upgrade to a little room or cabin just for the next two nights. The staff were incredibly kind and empathetic and did everything they could to get us into a warm, dry room for no extra charge at all! Every staff member we spoke to was lovely and friendly, and we felt so welcome and looked after. Thank you to the team at Hahei Beach Resort for such an amazing holiday! Will most definitely be returning as soon as we can
The coffee was great & the little blue caravan was selling outstanding smoothies & healthy toasties etc would go back just for that experience. The cost of my purchases was very reasonable
Great all round we paid $27.59 per person a night for a powered site at the back of the grounds. 1min walk to beach and so quiet.
Pet friendly out of season.
Facilities top notch.
Staff fabulous.
Actually cool. Full as, and the top notch facilities coped well. Great family camping. The beach and environs are unique and worth a visit.
