I went to urgent walk in facility at grey street and encountered fantastic experience with the hospital receptionist Pawan Tiwana during my recent visit. Though i was mad at the doctor's behaviour but she calm me down, She not only took my concerns seriously but also acted promptly by urgently booking me an appointment by checking with doctor. What truly impressed me was her dedication to ensuring I received timely information. She promptly emailed me the test report today, which eased my worries though the nurse behaviour was rude to me on the call where as after making so many calls to reception, pawan professionalism and commitment to patient care are truly commendable. Thank you for the excellent service!

Trying to get through just to make an appt for over an hour formy daughter with a ear ache. Decided we will change doctors. Never get a diagnosis and the last appt the doctor threatened my daughter with a flu jab if she didn't start swallowing properly. She's 5! I've had 3 appts to figure out what is wrong with her. No diagnosis and no treatment or extensive check ups. So sad that cant
Even get proper health care in my own country. The health care in NZ is so out of touch its horrible.

I made a call at 12: 41 pm on the 31st August. A receptionist received the call. And I said I want to make an appointment for my husband.
Instead of asking the details for the patient eg (name & Date of birth) the first thing
She said " Yes you want to make an appointment how can i help you"
How am I suppose to answer this question?
Such receptionist who does not know how to talk?

Doctors are nice but the receptionist ladies they are dump. They doesn’t even know how to talk with a patient.i’m totally disappointed never going back to this place.

I wish I read the reviews before enrolling. I have one 1 Dr appointment and have seen a nurse twice. Dr Yee was fine, however both nurses appointments were terrible. One I had to wait 30 minutes, then when I was seen they insisted they contact my previous doctor as they didn't believe what I was saying. This increased my appointment time to over an hour, I had to go back to the waiting area while they spoke to them and continued the appointment with no apology. There was also student nurses in the room and this made me uncomfortable, I was never asked if it was okay that they sit in.

My most recent appointment was awful, I had an AM appointment and was asked to come back in the afternoon instead because I wasnt provided the information regarding what I needed to bring. Ridiculous.

I do not recommend this centre and will not be returning.

Just experienced very unexpected behaviour at Hamilton lake clinic on Pembroke street today. First of all the receptionist was very unresponsive. I requested her if I can see a doctor or nurse. She said ok and then she was just going here and there without any answers. After couple of minutes I politely requested again and she said ohh yes I will check with nurse. She told me to wait so someone will see you. After half an hour she came to me saying doctor is not answering her call you can go to pharmacy and buy pregnancy kit to test. Obviously I tested home first and just wanted to confirm as we had medical issues with previous child and were told seek medical advice from starting in another pregnancy.
I must say It was used to be very good practice but not anymore.
Very disappointing as we were confident to go there because of own language doctors

Always issues in the clinic is Receptionist whoever sitting on the phone they just don't know how to talk. They will make you feel like you owe them something and they can talk the way they want. They never provide proper information. Couple of doctors are polite they listen and will give you the proper answer but incase if you have something left or want to follow up with your something regarding reports or anything you just have to book an appointment and pay them again and again.

Would not recommend anyone to go to this clinic. The receptionist are rude and out of touch with reality. Doesn’t know how to talk, no sense or any awareness of Code of Conducts or any Cultural safety. The previous receptionist were nice, the new ones are out of touch. People need to feel welcome not to be ignored with rude behaviour. They don’t even answer the phone on time! The only saving grace for this place is Dr Yee. Request to Dr Singh to hire at least friendly and caring receptionist. The one who understand cultural safety for health consumers.

I wouldn't recommend this place, the receptionists are like what other patients have said is true, they are rude, unprofessional and sarcastic towards patients, they are not helpful. The receptionists needs a reality check and need to learn respect, dignity and be professional at all times whether in person or over the phone.

About ready to go elsewhere. Have had very poor service from reception. Speaks over you, doesn't listen, gets very condescending if you ask a question (Emeline). She can be good at time but wow it is bad when not. Luckily have seen Dr Yee the last few times who is excellent at communication, reassurance, what
to do if things get worse. He actually actively listens and responds and explains reasoning behind his actions. However I have seen some really bad doctors with zero communication skills, most no longer work there but recently Dr Sharamalee who provides the exact opposite to Dr Yee and for the second time now has not listened and prescribed things for my baby that are completely unnecessary without any explanations. No where to email concerns to on your website.

Only saving grace was the actual doctor.
Walking into reception was a joke.
Loud Indian music played and continued to play after we were told to take a seat.
Chromecast on TV then displayed a YouTube warning for content of self harm which the receptionist clicked into and proceeded to sing in hindi.
Not ideal as a support worker for someone struggling with disabilities. Have photos, but can't attach to review.

Dr. Was good, everything else was a mess.

Visited Mr. Patrick Yee few times. Very good and a professional doctor. Felt so relaxed after each visit. The reception staff are also very good and helpful in fixing the appointments and all.

Honestly, my experience at this clinic has been mixed over the years. I can't fault Dr Lakhminder, Dr Aung or any of the nurses I've seen. (With Dr Aung being probably one of the nicest and most caring doctors there.) but some of the previous receptions have been very rude out the gate to almost every client I have seen them interact with. I'm glad they've hired Taylor. She is is chirpy, friendly and helpful. Exactly what you want / need in a receptionist when you're coming to see a gp that in some cases, may be for stressful reasons. Glad to see the clinic gradually getting back up to par with others.

I visited many time with chest pain with dr meenakshi, she is a very very intelligent and good nature, she explain very simply she treat like a friendly and as a family member, she is genius as well she is a good person️

The overall clinic isn't too organised but I can't fault my current doctor here - dr. Yee is amazing. Reception staff has never been great, however I do believe they hired someone recently (Taylor) that is on top of their game. The experience really depends on who you deal with, which is a bit of a shame, I hope they hire more great staff and turn it around.

Another not a very nice experience at Hamilton Lake Clinic. Brought son for an appointment at 1: 45pm, called the reception upon arrival, was told Dr will call soon. Sitting in the car for more then 40mins, I called the reception again. She was like oh we had few walk-ins, when I told her as we call on their number it says don’t show at clinic without appt and they seeing walk- in and people with appt have to wait. She started repeating Dr has just messaged to say he will see you soon. Pathetic service Hamilton Lake Clinic.

The team at Hamilton Lake Clinic is very responsive in times of need (Covid-19 in particular). Once I updated my records in MoH website, they rang me twice to check how I was going. Then I ran out of meds and they scheduled a phone consultation and advised me they will arrange a home delivery. I've been seeing Dr Sandhu for years now and I like her. Thanks so much team. I greatly appreciate the effort.

I have always found that whenever we are trying to call they not pickup on time but we neglected this problem always, but my daughter got covid from last two days today she is too much sick she crying from long time we are trying to call them but they guys put our call on hold. We are also positive we are unable to go anywhere if something happen to our daughter who responisible for that. Very annoying service.

Lazy lying Indian nurse, phoned up before arriving to confirm if they take walk ins.drove there and then waited in queue 45 minutes outside with others, I went inside to enquire why no service and was told they had to prepare the vaccine. Inside was dark and dirty, this is Hamilton not Calcutta.
