Joe's Garage

From South Island where I frequent Joe’s garage and I found the burgers and chips tastier and a bit more generous. Pleased we ate there.

Great food, great staff. One of the best places in Hamilton to eat. Highly recommend the pork belly. Best pork belly and mashed potatoe I have had in my life. Will definatley be back when I'm next in Hamilton.

Would recommend any one visiting Hamilton to go to Joe's garage. Their good is amazing and rheir service is too. The price point is on parking and one of the more affordable places I have eaten at in a while.

Just had dinner with a couple friends, very friendly staff we lost track of time didn’t realise they close at 8 but were friendly about our over stay and even made beef burgers to takeaway before we left. Thank you so much! Appreciate the great service and delicious food!

Excellent service food wasn't bad but not fabulous either. Was a little disappointed that there were only 2 steaks left onsite for our table of 8 and we weren't told before we ordered - not sure if supply had issues or what the deal was. Catered very well for those with food issues in our group

Nice layout, especially the outdoor area. I just don't like coming here for one reason, the music is too loud and can't hear. I've tried meeting up with family and clients here multiple times and they all say the same thing about the music being too loud and annoying and I agree, so I always try and find somewhere else in the area. The outside area at Joe's would be so perfect for coffee meetings without the loud music.

Happy to see this place does a collab with the lonestar -limited menu.but yay they had Ribs and Dixie chicken!

they’re connected with lonestar so they have the same cooking as them, they also sell lonestar ribs too.

This was the best service I have ever had. The food was delicious and the staff was fabulous. Highly recommend. A+ Thankyou

Restaurant looks really nice and I love the aesthetics. Maybe I came on an off day, because whoever cooked our meal deep fried a nice long strand of hair in our battered chicken. Didn't kick up a fuss about it, but it definitely put me off eating the rest of the platter. Had great drinks and music:)

I just wanted to send you an email to say thank you to Tayla and crew for your incredible corporate catering service at our event last night for The Crate - Flexible Office Space. The quality of the food made us look good in front of our guests! We had plenty of positive feedback on the catering - and for that, we are truly thankful.

We came for an early breakfast on Saturday. I ordered a chicken burger and a banana milkshake. My husband had Joe's equivalent of a big breakfast. His potatoes were beautiful.

We really enjoyed all our food. Would definitely return.

Great for family's. Good kids menu and a lot of gluten free options as well. Friendly service, overall good experience.

Good afternoon, My friends and I went to Joe’s Garage for brunch today (Sunday 27th Feb)
3/5 of us ordered the Gorgeous George Meals, and was very disappointed especially with the potatoes. The menu said “Smashed Spuds” but when the order finally arrived, The potatoes were all hard like plastic and rubbery to cut through, they tasted absolutely horrible. When I questioned the waiter, she was advised by the kitchen that they were “Yesterdays Potatoes” which as you can imagined - that alone shockingly blew our minds, she proceeded to ask if we wanted some more? Which we obviously all replied with No. It was time for us to pay for our meal, and when questioned “how was everything today” we voiced our concerns and we were challenged with the fact that the potatoes are cooked and baked overnight which doesn’t mean they’re old - which in the end was the very point - The potatoes were not cooked fresh therefor it ruined the entire meal as they tasted old and re heated. Glad they removed the x3 gorgeous gorge meals, as it certainly wasn’t eatable.
Others heard our experience, and was quick to leave as they said the service wasn’t great and that they had been waiting for their waiters to come back to be served.

Went out for a girl's night. Food was tasty & drink options aplenty.

Different sitting options meant we could enjoy the breeze outside or get cozy on the couch inside. The river view is fabulous, too.

The parking & location might as well be the main reason to visit. It's so much easier compared to further down on Victoria St.

The interior is kept very clean with cute knick-knacks. Fun to spot what's where.

Had the schnitzel that is on the favourites part of the menu.
Tough as old boots, didn't seem to be homemade crumbed. Can make better at home. The chips were yum and so was the gravey. Nothing special though.
2 x burgers were also ordered which my party thought were yummy.

I'm sorry for the one star but very disappointed. Salmon pizza as pictured below is just an undercooked bread with a couple of pieces of salmon haphazardly spread about, not really $25 worth. Salt and pepper squid was undercooked and dripping oil, coating was squishy and just slid off, couldn't really eat it. Afraid I won't be back
