Kaipaki Petting Farm

My family and I visited Kaipaki farm this past Saturday. My animal loving girls adored feeding the large animals.
I am giving a 2 star review because the small animals were in such small cages and the turtles didn't seem to have adequate habitats for them to thrive. Sad to see.

Another hidden treasure in the Hamilton area. Well worth the visit for all the family.
Hold, touch, pat and feed their pets. The team are very helpful and more than happy to bring pets to you for a pat.horse/pony rides. Don't forget to go see Big Red.a gentle giant.

Awesome day spent here with family. Very friendly work staff! Very good with kids. Will be coming back soon.

This is such a lovely family run petting farm that is all about getting kids up and close to all the animals! We spent a good 2hrs here with our 18 month old who absolutely loved it! Coffee available too and lots to see and learn about on the farm!

Amazing place, we could have happily stayed, all day long. Welcoming hosts. The animals were varied and accessible. The layout was clever, allowing us to experience different areas at our own pace. Playground, ride-on carts and loads of tables and seating in a barn area make it perfect for doing just that.
We had 5 children aged between 1-12 and every one was engrossed! If i could give more than five stars I would.

The best petting farm we have been to by far.
We went there to celebrate our daughters second birthday, and we all had a blast. A very unique experience. Well thought out and food was placed right near the animals so no purchases of food or little bags were needed, which is super convenient. We also really enjoyed the farmers walking around and interacting with us all that day, warm and welcoming. You can feel their genuine love for the animals and that is a wonderful thing. Our children loved feeding the Bull in particular (Ferdinand) and feeding the sheep their milk. They also have a playground (which is always a plus) and a few spots to eat. The pony rides were the highlight of the day and for a very reasonable price. Highly recommend. Will be returning.

My son had his 5th birthday party at Kaipaki Petting farm yesterday and it was absolutely awesome! There was so much to do and see that every age was well engaged the whole time. Amber and Rick set everything up, tables, decor etc. There were a few themes to choose from and awesome toys, dress ups, ride on tractors, a playground and the list goes on. The additional coffee cart is a great idea! I highly recommend Kaipaki Petting farm for parties and celebrations of all ages.

Granddaughter went here for her 3rd birthday. She was so excited about riding a horse. Animals are all easily accessible for kids to get close to

A really awesome hard working team, happy and friendly animals. Loved being able to cuddle the baby chickens and ginnie pigs, learning about the lizards and feeding the goat ️ I especially appreciated the warm soapy water buckets at each station to wash our hands that's a biggie for me personally. A beautiful family environment

Spent a truly wonderful morning there with my grandchildren and their parents. The whole idea is just brilliant. Beautiful animals that were a delight to interact with, pet, cuddle, caress and feed. The staff were just tremendous, friendly, willing to chat and explain special and unique things about the animals. It was the most enjoyable time you could ever imagine. Also, they make a very good cup of coffee to sit down and enjoy! If you haven't done so, take the time to visit and detune. You will be very glad you did.

Such a great set up, so many animals to get hands on with, all the normal farm ones and then some! Kids love the ride on tractors and the playground too. Thanks!

Kids had a wonderful time their favourite activity was getting to ride Echo and Milo. And its well set up so you get lots of opportunity to pet/feed the farm animals.

Best birthday party venue ever! Happy kids enjoying the outdoors. Great food for everyone. Easy clean up. Highly recommended.

So many animals and such lovely, helpful and relaxed staff. All the animals were able to be petted, fed and/ or brushed. So much to see for big and little kids. Really really great place.

We had a lot of fun at the Kaipaki Petting Farm open day. Many different animals to pet and feed (guinea pigs, rabbits, ponies, horses, ducks, chickens, sheep, alpaca, cows, birds). There is also a playground and many digger go karts, as well as an old tractor to play on. There is an entrance cost (family passes available, around $30) and horse rides an additional cost ($5)
