Delicious food and friendly staff! We had the grilled octopus, scallops, lamb skewers and pan fried fish.will recommend all of these dishes.

Seafood was cooked perfectly.
Octopus and calamari was outstanding.
Friendly staff and very helpful.

Scallops to start followed by eye fillet for me and Pan fried Tarahiki for the wife best meal we have had for a long time

Really delicious food, good selection of small plates and larger plates. Big portions and very high quality ingredients

Food is varied and very tasty, however the waitress lost 1 entree and 1 main from our table so the service wasn't really up to scratch

Excellent meal with great food &service. Would certainly recommend for dinner, the fish main followed by the sticky date pudding were superb!

Arrived here on a cold Wednesday night. We ordered the steamed mussels and Karage Japanese Fried Chicken.

Shellfish was in a creamy sauce with 2 rounds of toast. Japanese FC was more "Japanese inspired" than an attempt at the authentic article.

Quite edible but I can't say that I would rave about the food.

We had such a lovely evening here, it was a last minute deck on to go into town with my parents and two children. The staff were so welcoming and accommodating. Children's meals were fantastic and reasonably priced and adult meals were delicious and fresh. Highly recommend, will come back for sure next time we are in Whiti. Thanks.

Best meal we've had in New Zealand so far:) we ordered the tempura eggplant, fried fish, brocoli and the mussels. Perfect service and absolutely delicious food. Highly recommend.

I recently visited Marina Bay Eatery and unfortunately had a disappointing experience. My partner and I walked there on a holiday evening and were told at 8pm that the restaurant was full, despite there being plenty of empty seats and tables visible. It's understandable that the Coromandel area is in need of tourist support due to COVID and recent cyclone hit, but it's disappointing to see a local business turning away customers unnecessarily.

Top service and excellent food. After visiting other Whitianga restaurants and finally found one that did not dissapoint.

A real find in Whitianga. Top quality food, service, atmosphere. Has to be the number one restaurant in town.

Really disappointed reading the reviews and how the director has responded to them. Responding with racial slurs and extremely xenophobic behaviour - referring to people as chinkus, insinuating they're from China, and getting upset that they don't speak fluent English is appalling. Was very excited by the water-front location but will never dine here. Please do better, we are all just people at the end of the day.

My wife booked us in for dinner on a Sunday night, had read the reviews and had a recommendation from the place we were staying at. Totally amazing food for something a little different. Plates were nicely filled with salad which was great addition to dish and the choices were so good it was hard to decide what to have but highly recommend the crispy sweet soya pork belly, Ika Mata, lamb Skewers and the Thai beef salad but I’m sure everything is just as good, well worth a visit

Worst and terrible experience ever.

Things for the owner (AVI) to learn today other than keep on lying:
1. Start to ADMIT your mistakes, and being a role model for your staffs. Not wonder why some of them are so rude.
2. Do your MATHS correctly and keep a good record for what is been served on tables. (3 out of 4 and 4 out of 4 is not a half please learn it from primary school)
3. HONEST about yourself, we saw you standing in the corner without saying a word to defend your staffs. Typing from your screen would not change how they see about you, just another bad excuse for said being busy.

Not recommended unless you want a terrible service. The owner is so mean to the customer and never thinks about how to treat the customer nicely

Awesome ambience and great hospitality. They know how to treat their customers. Food is too delicious! Must visit place in Whitianga.

Went there last Saturday with a few friends of mine, as we gotten a discount from our accommodation. The Service of the staff and I think the owner aswell was awesome. Very friendly and helpful, quick and fast service and great food and drinks at very good prices, the place has a lovely atmosphere and I highly recommend to swing by for a meal.

This place is great! Atmosphere is chill and cool but the staff is also really friendly.when we think about celebrations, is always our first option and it never disappoints, service are delightful and very professional. 10/10

Good food. Service was learning their jobs but were very nice and helpful. I think they will do a good job in the future.
